Dellavedova unfortunately recreates the 2013 Finals Lebron on Jason Terry Dunk
Off topic, but those jersey ads are something. Took my eyes a minute to adjust and focus on the team and player names. Afraid the NBA will eventually get to that point.
They’re terrible, but they’re inevitable. Already see them in 3 of the big 4 US sports. The NFL absolutely makes enough money to not have them, but it’s only a matter of time before they accept that sweet corporate money.
I looked around a MLB stadium during a game recently and counted over 150 different ads. But these poor, poor teams/owners need the cities/tax money to fund a new stadium. Would be great if everyone got together and said we aren’t putting up with this anymore, but that ship has sailed. The machine is too big now.
Ehh Australia is its own breed of sports being infested with all the wrong shit. Ads everywhere, gambling everywhere. It’s endemic. You get like one option for a traditional “Sports Bar” experience. Everything else is pokies with a million screens and ticker tape everywhere.
It’s starting in college football. The NCAA ruled teams can have sponsor patches this season. Several schools have already made deals.
This will be the smaller college conferences in a couple years
I wonder if college teams have any rules/regulations about jersey ads? Certainly seems like it would be the next step, but part of me thinks, at least for state schools, there might be regulatory issues involved with it, though I guess they already put ads all over the stadium, so who knows.
I mean it’s already happening. Wisconsin will have a Culver’s patch, the Big12 teams will have monster energy drink logos. Its now going to be how far does it go. I just wish they’d stick to team colors.
Ugh. Gross. Was never a huge college sports fan, and this doesn’t help.
As long as there’s money to be made, it’s hard to refuse. NBA is a business after all.
Do you think the Heat faced the Celtics in the 2013 finals?
My mistake, was latter half of the season but not finals, i’d change the title if I could.
They’re in the same conference my guy
I’ll never understand how the whole enforcer thing. The dude isn’t going to stop dunking and taunting because someone bodied him after. Meanwhile, you are gifting points to the opponents.
Having said that, hell of a dunk.
It’s for your teammate. Delly tried to play defense on the dunk and is now getting humiliated. The enforcer is saying that 1.) We’re not going to stand for you taunting our guy who’s hustling. 2.) Keep playing that way Delly, we got your back.
It was less about the dunk I think and all about the taunt. I’m not saying that’s the right way to handle it, but that’s exactly why they actually need to enforce taunting penalties in sports despite people calling the leagues no fun.
Oh you your upvoters have never played sports a day in your lives then. If you did, even for a day you’d understand this mechanic at play here.
I get being an enforcer, but not for a poster dunk. Like it’d be one thing if he was standing over him like Pippen over Ewing, or pointing like Shawn Kemp, but this was just your run of the mill poster dunk with a very short flex at the end. Escalating the situation, getting yourself T’d up and potentially ejected over this is so stupid and unnecessary.
That’s how we do it down under mate
Mistake or not, misinformation posts like this should be removed.
put the fries in the bag bro
Vancouver bandits legend Mitch Creek.
Also, props to the ref for trying to hold back Creek, who is 6’6 and 230 or some pounds. But ref had no chance

Ah it was regular season, my bad!
Sorry about title: regular season, not finals!
🫡 #22
#22’s a bitch.
Better than the LeBron on John Lucas III dunk at least
That’s actually satisfying, Delly left a lot of us angry over the years.
As bad as ads are there is some comedy about certain sponsors. I’d get a chuckle out of seeing Ant in a Trojan sponsored singlet, or Draymond in a BetterHelp singlet.
