This debate basically got settled though ever since Curry was a PG. Traditional PGs just don’t exist anymore. Haliburton is probably the closest to it. Even Harden transitioned over to being a PG after being a SG to start off his career. The only players who play SG full time are guys who cannot play make good enough to play the 1. Ant is the biggest example of that
Booker probably fills that role too. He CAN be PG but operates so much better as a secondary ball handler.

KD has become a journeyman. Hasn’t gotten anything done without hopping on Steph’s bandwagon. Ruined the team chemistry on his last 2 teams. Dudes legacy isn’t gonna be half as good as he thinks it is
His 2024-25 season was such a dud that it made so many people forget he was on the team.

This series was when I knew he was capable of a higher level of basketball than “that boy cold”. The Suns had dominated the Wolves that entire season and the Wolves needed a game plan that everyone had to follow and stick with to win, and man I just wasn’t sure a guy of ANTs talent and demeanor would, but he proved to me he’s pretty serious about winning basketball.

Is Ant just the most “God I’m so happy you’re my guy” player in the league? Like Jokic, Wemby, SGA, Luka are all better and amazing to watch, but don’t have the dunk package. Giannis is up there but has peaked and had availability issues. Same with Bron and Curry of course, Steph’s shooting making up for his lack of dunks. Ant just has it all.

In all seriousness though he’s the best showman in the NBA after Steph and ironically LaMelo (Hali’s up there too). It’s so awesome being a fan and having him, I think him as a teammate is what I love most about him though he’s gotta be the only guy on the planet who loves Jaden McDaniels more than I do.

I’m not gonna lie, I felt that way about LaMelo for the Hornets. In terms of someone so true to our organization I never saw us trading him. I will admit, though - LaMelo and Ant together is going to be an absolute ball. Can’t wait to watch, and I’ll always root for the guy. Naz Reid.

He has highlights, he’s clutch, he shows his personality on the court, and he doesn’t flop. And it’s all winning basketball.
Ant also seems to be a great leader and very coach-able. Sky is the limit for dude

The way his body just moved Durants out the way is always the nastiest part about this play. Looks like ant is the vet and kd is being bullied.
No foul after Beal hit his head. That game was a Scott Foster masterclass with Booker running at defenders at getting free throws every time. 21 free throws for him in that game after getting only 20 in last 3 games combined.

The Timberwolves gotta get Ant to the playoffs healthier. He has grown as a player in a lot of areas that I think being off-ball more should allow him to realize even more, he could have a truly crazy season if Melo is available throughout the regular season.
