I’m a LeBron hater and a lakers hater. But I agree with you. I watched Bronny play a handful of times this year and ok he’s not great but you can definitely make a case that he deserves a roster spot. If he had a different name he’d just be another fringe nba player towards the end of the bench. The league is filled with those guys.

A coach favoring or “believing ” in you is not an indicator that you’re better than another player. In Bronny’s i really doubt that’s the reason 😆

I mean it’s mainly that Knecht is 3 years older and is a 3rd stringer whos gotten worse while Bronny’s gotten better. JJ playing him over DK in the playoffs does matter though cause Knecht got more chances in the regular season and still didn’t get the playoff time. Bronny’s also a just a better fit and probably is a little more promising of a player at this point. DK is clearly a worse defender and offensively he can shoot but if it’s not a catch and shoot he takes forever to actually get something done, whereas Bronny can shoot, playmake more, and is a much faster decision maker

I saw Knecht as a poor man’s Reeves(scoring machine capability) so I had faith that if they developed him further he could really be something. I was certain his regression was a result of losing favor with coach vs regression of ability.

Yeah honestly I still think there’s a decent roleplayer in Knecht, it’s just that he’d either need some heat culture or to go to a spot where he can have the ball like the warriors who will probably have enough injuries to where young guys get larger opportunities.
He had a few alright games this year like in the one where AR hit the game winner vs the wolves and towards the end of the season, but those were all games where the Lakers had a lot of injuries and needed the depth guys to be able to have the ball and do something.
