[Highlights] A year removed from injuring his Achilles in Game 7 of the NBA Finals, Tyrese Haliburton pulls out the Eastbay
I have learned to avoid gray athletic shorts
Only navy or black, quick drying fabric š
White as well but only if you have matching underwear underneath
Pass, chief. Things go wrong real fast with white.
Paul Pierce burner acct?
That swamp ass a mf
Swamp? That’s at minimum a lake. All up in the gooch.
Thats a badge of honor, his way of showing us how much work he just put in before that East Bay dunk
Call him Everglades
I ran a marathon in a pair. Only the second time I had worn them after a short 20 min jog to make sure they didnāt rub anywhere etc
More than one person asked if I had wet myself.
there are pills for thatĀ
Eh kinda. Thereās mitigation but not solving the issue.
The key is to keep sweating until they are the same colour again
I learned that literally 2 days ago. Looked like I pissed myself after running. I mean, I did piss myself. But I also looked like I did
Well at least you canāt double piss yourself so let it rip
“I used to piss myself. I still do but I used to too”
Don’t ball in cotton shorts
I do. You can see all the sweat running down my ass crack, but on the plus side it takes a lot longer for them to stink š.
You don’t like looking like you shit / pissed your pants?!

Needs a Manpon
swamp ass
I thought he was supposed to be fat now
The weight was due to his Shingles meds. Maybe heās been able to discontinue those and shed most of the weight.
Discontinue the lithium
I wish the lord would take me now
oh, poor you.
already flushed it
It was the medication he was on. For his shingles. It fucked with his weight, but heās over that now. He could probably get a letter from his doctor.
A letter saying he donāt have rashes any more??
Can’t go back to construction though. But other industries are a bit more open minded.
Such a random ass line to know where its fromĀ
What you dont know could fill a book
Again with the scenarios
Yah maybe the meds he was taking make you retain water so maybe most of the weight was water weight
I donāt know what Iām talking about though, just making shit up
Oftentimes they are steroid meds like Prednisone which make you put on weight really quickly. Then you canāt simply just quit them and you have to taper down. Then with an athletes lifestyle and training it shouldnāt be too hard to take the weight back off.
Not saying thatās what he was on but the type of weight gain it was, especially around his face and neck looked very similar to what happens when people are on meds like Prednisone.
Have been on Prednisone for an extended period at this point (9-ish months starting from a really high dose) and man, that motherfucker really makes you puffy as hell.
I gained 45 lbs (from 109 to 155) in this time frame and every day until around early June when my dose got lowered again i felt like my face and neck would never go back to what was “regular”
Shed shingles? What is he some sort of roofer?
Roofer? I hardly know her.
Bro threw himself that lob just like Hali
And this is probably with some of the extra weight still there to shed too
Yeah, he was a really lean dude.
Yeah he a little chubby still
Thereās still some flab on his waist which is less pronounced when heās in the middle of athletics. But still heās trimmer than before ramping up and Iād imagine by season start heāll be near as slim as before.
I just hope the shingles donāt get in the way
he’ll be good unless he has some crazy stress again or another exposure incident. especially once you finish the medicine. very rarely do they come back.
I had them, it literally was between my ass cheeks and thought a spider bit my asshole.
Relatively speaking he is bigger now than when he entered the league but still heās far from fat
it was a reference to him gaining weight during his recovery, which was later revealed to him being on Shingles medicine which can lead to weight gain.
Still lol at Haliburger
He looks like an athlete still getting into shape again to me.
For an NBA wing, that is pretty “fat”
Heās not an NBA wing, heās a point guard.
For an NBA Center, hes pretty large
He’s still a Lil juicy lol
Juicy is crazy
I love how your comment has turned into a thread of couch potatoes discussing whether or not heās still overweight
For sure. I would love to be this overweight. š¤£
He still has time to get out of shape, Iām sure.
He is kinda chubby for NBa standards
He was fat for like 1 week lol
He is for nba
There are few things more catabolic than professional basketball training. Given that most of his weight gain was likely water retention and stored glycogen it’d be easy for him to shed several pounds every few days.
zero muscle definition and a flabby stomach
he is here. an NBA body don’t look like his stomach rn lmao.
Haliburger is an all time nickname
Itās amazing how far surgical procedures have come in such a short time.
Tatum in the playoffs, Hali doing between the leg dunks, Dame winning the 3pt contest
Tatum couldnāt finish the playoffs and Hali and Dame have not come back yet. Ā Not wishing injustice on anyone but itās way too early to say that guys can come back from Achilles tears and have a normal career. I mean I hope everyone is healthy and has a long productive career but letās wait and see.Ā
No doubt but I donāt think we see any of them doing any of this already if this was 10 years ago. It seems theyāre far along in their recovery. To be clear I think they still have a long way to go, it took KD many games of playing before he looked right.
https://youtube.com/shorts/luPEHmu73uQ?is=93b0FKUIWgTvFY3u
Durant said it took him 700 days to feel like himself again
Tyrese will be feeling like himself right as the ECF kicks off. Perfect.
Kevin Durant has had as good of a recovery as you could hope for. But he hasnāt made it past the second round of the playoffs since it happened. Before the injury he made the finals or conference finals basically every year.Ā
I mean yeah thatās fair but are we really going to judge a players recovery on how well their team is playing?
He’s also older. He’d have made it past the second round with the Nets if both Kyrie and Harden didn’t get hurt.
Tbf KDās game never looked rusty in his first season, dude was avg 27/7/5 on 67% TS but I will say he dealing with hamstring issues during the season till he got healthy for that playoffs
KD has a way diffrent playstyle than those guys tbf. He doesn’t rely on athleticism or speed, so an achilles injury doesn’t force him to change his game too much.
Surgery is 15% of it.
The Rehab, nutrition, etc is the other 85% and they have access to the top trainers and too most high tech equipment
I believe this.
Peptides too most likely
What does that even mean
In case you were actually asking, peptides like BPC-157 have been associated with enhanced angiogenesis and more organized collagen deposition. This translates to improved healing in tendon, ligament, muscle, and even nerve injuries. Though human trials are sparse and most data is on rodents.
Forgive me if I’m coming in hot.
It’s not just that the data is on rodents, but they’ve been doing studies on rodents for 30 YEARS now, and when they ran a study on humans, they didn’t publish the results. I hate the way this shit preys on people’s hope for serious injuries. The random Croatian scientists running this scam clearly have created a little cottage industry of holding out hope on some shit that they would clearly have data on if it were worth a damn.
It’s total BS, and probably anything you get claiming it’s BPC-157 is not even that. They’re not even doing science; it’s pure propaganda.
Doctor here, this guy is talking about snake oil full stop.
“it’s never been proven to work”
them: “sure but it’s never been proven to not work”
I took the trio for patellar tendinitis, pain free after a week or so. But obviously finished the vials. Itās a game changer
My uncle took different ones for kidney disease and he’s doing great. Still probably will need a donor, but the ability to extend the usable window for his failing organ is wild.
banned, dumb, potentially dangerous and doesn’t work. You mean
I believe genetics has to be a big part. I remember Adrian Peterson tearing his ACL in Dec 2011 and starting the very next season in September. Only coming 9 yards short of the NFL single season rushing record. And that was almost 15 years ago.
Having the luxury of just doing and eating what your personal training staff tells you must be nice. Can’t imagine a life like that.
I mean it’s not like he jumped off the foot with the torn Achilles (his right) he jumped off his left
Imagine 10 years from now. League full of Wendyās with major injuries potentially being a thing of the past lol
sir this is a…uh.. uh. where am i
You love to see it!
I’ll never not root for this guy.
Idk man he turned into prime MJ against my cavs and i was not rooting for him untill the finals lmao
Nothing personal to him but Iāll always not root for this guy
Itās fun to have a villain
As a Pacers fan, the Knicks/Pacers rivalry keeps me watching the NBA. It definitely makes it more fun.
Heās the best villain we have. Reggie is genuinely insufferable. Celtics donāt have a real heel (I liked JB). Embiid hate goes beyond east coast rivalry.
The Haliban is too powerful.
I actually like most of your players a lot, I’ve been a fan of Kat since the conference match. They seem like a bunch of chill dudes, I don’t see much to dislike really.
KAT is the biggest win Iāve ever gotten. Iām a gay ass dominican from the boroughs, plus I already loved him when he was in the Wolves.
With Hali (and with Trae) they’re both like pro wrestling heels that know how to rile up a crowd, but it’s ultimately in good fun and the crowd is in on it too. It was so bizarre to me when Reggie took Josh Hart’s “Reggie I think they’re saying fuck you” so seriously in 2024
Knicks fan as well. I was rooting for him to heal and come back 100% of course.
The way he went down in a Finals Game 7 was nightmarish. Wouldn’t wish that on anyone. I’d rather players I’m rooting against just lose.
Also love the Haliban memes
I’m really hoping for another Knicks Pacers series this year with a healthy Haliburton.
I’m not even a huge Pacers fan but seeing him go down in Game 7 was genuinely one of the most devastating sports moments I can remember personally witnessing. We were robbed of an all-time game and he probably deserved it the least out of everyone there
“Hey Lebron, We’re Good.”
he’s cool
So hype for this season man
I read āu/OpeDefiantlyā and loled
I mean, does he even need flair? Bet he has two ranch fridges at home.
[removed]
da helly
da Hali*
The Mods need to Haliban this man.
Wtf š¤£
Halubeburton
What the Hali? š¤Ø
Thats a new sentence
MVP season incoming.
That would honestly be so cool to someone like me who has torn their Achilles playing basketball lol
Damn. That sucks.
Were you high mileage by the time you tore it? Was there any particular variable that you might point to? Or just random?
I was coming off a broken foot and was playing pickup just to get back into the swing of things. Played too hard or too long. Tried a basic V cut and it popped when my back leg planted. Wasnāt particularly high mileage. Played in HS and then pickup and Menās Leagues once a week all year. I was 24 when it happened. Ended up getting thru it and was able to still play, just not as explosive anymore. Weight gain from not moving didnāt help either lol. Then pandemic happened and I was like fuck it I retire. Donāt want to go thru an injury like that again now I have my own little ones to take care of and run around with.
Ahh I see. Thanks for the breakdown and Iām glad youāre doing well otherwise.
Thank you man. It was tough. Got the MRI but couldnāt get surgery for like a month. Hobbled around in pain the whole time I had to wait. Then had the surgery and then I was put in a cast for 2 weeks. Then it was the walking boot with the heel lifts. Each week theyād take it down so my heel was closer to the floor when I walked and let me tell you that was about as painful as the actual tear. Physical therapy was basically tailored to me wanting to be able to play basketball again and after not moving like that in a few months I was dreading those appointments after the first few. Iām good now, though. No pain, just a weird scar.
It already happened with PG after he snapped his leg.

MVP season /=/ winning MVP
Knick fanā¦and that would genuinely be sick as hell
Im still convinced that they would have won the finals if he didnt get hurt. Would love to see him have a big year. Just not against the cavs!
Would be such a genuinely cool story. Hell I rarely care about sports documentaries but this would he one hell of one. Last yearās magical run that ends in heartbreak and one of the biggest what if in sports, this yearās rehab year, next yearās potential comeback / revenge / prove it year especially if they happen to win it all or get close again.
ive been a pacers hater for most of my life but I want nothing more than this man and this version of this pacers team to win a ring
Iām a big fan of you. Have a wonderful day!
Most insanely clutch playoff performance I’ve ever seen. Pacers 2025 playoffs run was fucking magic.
We were robbed of something truly special that day. If my team can’t do it I want the Pacers to do it.
I hope he gets back to pre-injury Hali. One of the most fun players to watch.
Godly. Like wth was that run
The confidence and self belief you have to have to do that after going through an Achilles injury⦠Just incredible really.
its really amazing to see how heās recovering from shingles as well. it almost made him look like a different person. awesome to see this
I’ll miss those Haliburger photos, though.
Tyrese is awesome. He’s one of those dudes that, if you see him on the pick up court, everyone would fight to play with him, and his team wouldn’t lose a game for three hours straight.
Yeah Iād pick the NBA player too
Well yea he’s in the NBA
Rooting for this dude, such a fun player
Thunder/Pacers 2 in 2027 finals
Give it to me.
inject it into my cock
Haliban revenge tour incoming
Can it wait till 2028 please?
I’m going to need Pacers vs. 76ers in the playoffs first.
Hali beating either the 76ers and/or Knickās would be legacy wins
Got that booty sweat bounce
That’s a trademark of Alpa Chino
Everyone was thinking it
Most likeable player in the NBA. Rooting for this fucker
as a knicks fan. happy for him
Thats because yall won a title. Youre happy with everything lol
sure but when i saw him get injured it hurt me as someone who tore his acl playing collegiate sports. i didnāt even like seeing tatum get insured against us. i donāt like injuries
Sanest Knicks fan
if iām the sanest thatās crazy cause im fucking insane
Facts
Haha, rightfully so
Hate that he torched the Knicks, hate how injury ruined one of the best playoff runs.
Hate him as a rival, love him as a person. Was one of the only players to say anything about the Minnesota shootings.
I’m glad to see this guy back.
Sweating and oiled up
Right handed players almost always naturally jump off their left foot; he tore his right Achilles so itās not like heās purposefully avoiding using it on a normal dunk attempt.
he always has tbf
Landed on the injured one.
Natural jumping motion?
Sorry to put salt on the wound⦠but imagine being a kings fan and remembering, this guy was on your team?
Kangz fan*
They got to see Fox this year and say āthank godā at least lol
You love to see it
I definitely did not know he could do that shit even before the injury
Some people really think the Pacers wonāt make the playoffs, smh, put some respect on Hali
Love to see it.
Damn fuck yeah
If I was a heavy ass crack sweater I personally would never wear clothing colors that highlighted the sweat tracks.
I had no idea he had that on his bag before the Achilles tear
Even as a Knicks fan I was sick watching him tear his Achilles. The league is more fun with Haliburton in it
A year filled with the some of the best medical care money can buy.
Change your goddamn shorts bruh š
Glad to see him back, hopefully he kept all his dark magic we need that for our entertainment
LFG
Iāll cut my balls off if he doesnāt win a ring with the Pacers this season
thats a bit extreme
Itās inevitable
Halisteak
This is how the NBA should announce the start of the NBA season.
Built like me, I love it
Happy for him hope he balls tf out
Good to see him progressing. The east gonna be crazy next year
Very encouraging to see, Iāve honestly been worried a lot about the length of his recovery and whether heād ever get back to form but this is a great sign, vibes are high
I remember when this was a crazy elite NBA dunk. Now it’s part of the Kosta Koufos mixtape.
Excited to see this guy return to the court.
Glad that heās doing and looking better
So happy for this dude. Injuries suck. Love seeing him looking that comfortable jumping and landing.
Why Iis he oiled up?
That is one of the sweatiest men i’ve ever seen
Its a shame we were robbed of a year of this guys prime. Also possibly one of the best playoff runs ever.
He was gonna beat the Thunder man.
After his injury and the shingles stuff I’m happy to see him ballin again man, hope he brings it onto the court!
