I don’t see why that should be the case, Jokic hasn’t shown himself to be capable of any notable playoff carry jobs across his career. In the two years where Murray was out, the Nuggets got swept by the Suns in the second round and then they got swept by the Warriors in the first round, and in the series where Aaron Gordon has been out since then the Nuggets haven’t done too well, either.

The one thing is, as much as I hate him, I just don’t count out Luka until he’s actually out. He’s still the thing that makes them a potential spoiler. Without him, you’re absolutely right. And I don’t trust that he can stay healthy. But, I don’t count him out.

I mean, Wolves just did make a major change to their team, with two stars who are also currently under 25. I think there’s a lot of questions there, but we honestly have no idea how potentially scary they might be (or not be). Nuggets are a known good quantity. They will win games, they will likely win a playoff series if everyone’s healthy. They could also implode half way through the year.

As for Lakers, I said it above that as much as I don’t like him and don’t trust his body to be healthy, I never count out Luka until he’s out. He’s that much of a game changer for a team’s success.
