I told all my friends , the only logical reason for it taking so long was because the Jaylen Brown trade threw a wrench in his whole process . GS , MIA and CLE were easy choices . GS needed to get better with a trade but didnt. CLE and MIA were known to him, if it was just those two the decision is made 2 weeks ago.

The fact that he was being drawn to philly is what led to the long process . Basically like “damn i really feel like this is where i need to go” even though everything other than basketball would point somewhere else. Lifestyle , moving my family , storyline . The basketball potential of that Sixers roster was too much that he had to just say fuck it .

I wrote at the time after listening to the whiteboard episode that I thought Rich Paul favored Philly over the other candidates so the indicators were definitely there even in just that episode where they were leaning

If I knew nothing else but what I heard on this podcast, I would guess Rich Paul prefers the 76ers.

He brought them up first, spent the most time discussing them, sounded the most excited about them, brought up how much he loves the Sixers owners while discussing another team, and mentioned them when making his final points about them still having assets they can use to improve the roster.
