Sure, but everyone has a price. AD and Trae will have much more value if they perform. I find it hard to believe the Wiz think they’re about to contend, but they can have fun while leaving themselves open to pivoting to sellers at the deadline should only one work out. If Warriors or Bron want AD, they’ll have to justify the Wiz coming off of their strategy of essentially injured vet lotto tickets.

I really don’t see why it’s a bad plan. They have actual young talent now, and were missing good vets. They now have two very good vets. Maybe a bit overpaid, and there are injury concerns, but they should be a competent playoff worthy team, and this should be great for the development of Sarr/Dybansta

I think wizards are gonna keep AD for now and see what they have. If their record is not good, I think they engage teams and try to trade AD at the deadline. If they’re good, I think they hold AD this season

I’m convinced this is all just to increase gambling. Every day he doesn’t sign, more people bet on where he will go. When the betting actually starts to slow down, he’ll sign where he always planned to sign.
