Yea, as a Christian, a fundamental part of the faith is that God is always present and able to talk if you seek Him. Plus if you make it to heaven that’s a literal eternity with him. I think if there was a God it wouldn’t be the same God as some random Earth religion. Considering how massive the universe is humans think way too highly of themselves. We likely aren’t special, so why would some religion most likely made up by humans be true? There are literally trillions and likely way more galaxies and each galaxy has at least a hundred billion stars at the very least. And each galaxy likely has more planets than stars.
So I’m imagining with the numbers involved there is at the very least life that exist outside of earth and I would wager intelligent life as well. So what would make our beliefs on Earth true and special? Especially when even on earth hundreds of religions and beliefs contradict themselves and are incompatible.
Why wouldn’t some random religion on some other planet other than Earth actually the true religion representing the true God?

There’s another element of this that is wrong. When I went to Hebrew School, I learned NOT to proselytize or otherwise push or advertise religion. It is against the culture of the religion due to our history of persecution. Generally speaking, you are supposed to act through good deeds that are not showy and often anonymous. I forget the specifics, but the idea is mostly to live a positive, Jewish life and not be pushy or impose upon others. Even though I don’t believe in God I think that’s one of the better things about the religion. This is the antithesis of humility.

I’ll qualify this by saying I’m not a rabbi or something so I could be a little inaccurate here, but technically speaking, if your mother is Jewish, you are considered Jewish. My niece’s father is not Jewish, but if you asked most Jews, they would say that because my sister is Jewish, so is my niece.
Regarding conversion to Judaism in a formal sense, I believe the bar is quite high. You have to go through some education and I think you even have to ask a bunch to be converted. Like you can’t just sign up for it and there’s a whole process. And there’s something about a ritual bath. To top it off, to the most religious types I think they will reject you no matter what. My mother isn’t Jewish but I got a Bar Mitzvah and some would say I’m not a Jew, although I have the ethnic lineage and went through Hebrew School and such so you can call it whatever you want. I could have gone to birthright in Israel if I wanted to (I didn’t) so if what I am is good enough for a free trip then I think I count haha.
Suffice to say all of this is one of the many reasons I am not into religion. A bunch of rules and rituals and performative stuff. Meanwhile some of the most religious people seem to forget about the core tenets and morals of their religion or manipulate them in order to advance their own personal agenda.

Judaism as a religion is passed down from your mothers side. So if your mom is Jewish you’re Jewish and can practice if you wanted without having to convert. This comes from basically being able to know lineage without a doubt (in theory dad could be anyone but you can only pop out of your mom) and applies almost entirely to the religious side of things and even then there are sects that aren’t that strict.
Conversion is Judaism is possible but it’s taken pretty seriously, in Judaism’s view it’s not an easy thing and it’s not supposed to be, it takes years of dedication and studying. A good amount of it is dedicated to making sure this something you really really really want to do and not just going through a phase of religious exploration or something like that.
But if you make it through the arduous conversion process you are a full Jew and can do pretty much everything a matrilineal Jewish person can do.
This is all highly dependent on many factors like the community, the rabbi, what sect of Judaism you’re looking to convert, etc. but in general conversion is treated pretty seriously.
No, you’re half remembering correct things but putting them together wrong. If your mother is Jewish, you are Jewish. If your mother is not Jewish, then you can convert to Judaism but it is difficult, takes a long time, and you have to convince a religious court that you genuinely really want to convert and know what that entails.
