I hate expansion of playoffs because it kills the deadline trades, which is one of my favorite things about sports because it’s exciting when teams make big push trades.
This shit hurt the NBA trade deadline, NHL has a useless trade deadline because half the damn league make the playoffs or in the race because of the damn overtime loss points, and the NFL trade deadline is generally mild in most years.

cora was a fine manager situationally and was great w the clubhouse when things were rolling, but what nobody seems to mention when they complain is the routine underpreparation of the players situationally and defensively. that is the one issue i could point to w him that seemed to persist over multiple years. it was like he expected everyone to be a seasoned vet already (this part i have heard people saying)
We complained about every year. They were the worst defense in the league most years he was there. Its just no point in talking about it anymore cause he’s gone.

Tracy has done an amazing job and deserves the credit… and I don’t want to downplay the job he has done, but 1 little tidbit from the back of my mind is Anthony, Story, Crochet, Mayer, and Bello were all grossly underperforming before injury/demotion in Bello’s case and personnel changes have helped some too.
Y’know I’m not sure it has anything to do with the manager when they were 26-31 under that same manager 3 weeks ago.
Breslows additions of Bennet, Contreras, Sonny, and the Durbinator have been essential in this success. He locked up crochet and Roman long term. Before that, Rafaela. His only blunder the last offseason was not dealing Duran. Haters gonna hate but the man has built a filthy pitching pipeline and his moves are working
Can’t forget Ranger Suarez. Our entire middle infield that hasn’t been poor was brought in this year as well. Cheng, Seigler, IKF and Monasterio have all been valuable.
Guerrero and Gamboa have also been massive to the bullpen and were unheralded signings to say the least. Even Samaniego stepped up.
I wasn’t a Breslow hater before, and am not quite a Breslow diehard now, but we are definitely seeing his vision playing out right now.
