I think the story is just that he hasn’t decided generally. He’s dropped hints about the other teams/locations.

The warriors move never made sense to me personally. It was a narrative entirely built on wanting to see two guys play together, forced by media figures no other aspects of it aligned with what LeBron has said - that he wants to compete for a title. I don’t think the warriors could. Especially without AD — who the wizards have consistently said isn’t available, but people still treated the warriors as a real candidate.

This report sounds like the warriors acknowledging that they never felt they were in contention to begin with
