I’m level 78, should I focus up levelling before wasting my life on him?
He is not terrible, but you do need to learn his mechanics because he has a couple of one shot cheap tricks.
Na you got this dude! He took me 20ish tries (even after watching a video :), and I was right around that level. Once you get the timing down for the one shot, it gets much easier (not sure if they fixed the chill bug, so if it’s impossible to dodge, look that up). I would go in the first few times JUST to see his attacks and figure out how to dodge them. Good luck exile!
It depends, I think its more about having good enough gear so you damage him fast enough to not have to deal with his mechanics for too long. His one shot mechanics can get overwhelming if the fight goes on for too long.
It’s kinda a double edged sword
I completed the entire atlas tree first, got to level 85+, and then the bosses were too easy
Pick your poison! Now that we have infinite retries, it’s kinda more fun to actually suffer through the bosses the way they intended
I struggled on Geonor and had to completely change my build as I was just getting one shot all the time.
Arbiter I actually went back and pushed dps hard cause 90% of the danger with him is insta death mechanics.
I found the Arbiter to much easier once I understood how those mechanics worked and of course you get infinite tries and lose no exp.
So imo. Go ahead and give him a try. I found it to be an easier fight that Geonor.
If you can delete geonor in less tahn 10 seconds you are fine with arbiters
I think he’s my favorite boss due to his voice lines alone
But who is voicing him? He sounds so familiair, but I can’t find it. And it’s definitely not Matt Berry like some people seem to believe.
Damn, kinda surprised there’s nothing on IMDB also. Maybe we’ll get a full voice cast update on 1.0

When I first started playing Poe2, it took me loooong time as well. I lost count of tries, but when I finally killed him, my ‘best’ friend commented ‘Are you sure he didn’t die of old age?’ :)
It took me 4 tries and couldn’t figure out how i was dying
I changed gear and my cold res was only 35 lol. Fixed it and beat him next try.
He’s an order of magnitude harder than the pinnacle bosses.
He’s also the reason I snort when I hear them claim the game is balanced around 0% resists.
I had my struggle with the Count in 0.4. Act1, I died 204 times to him. Didn’t want to give up even when I knew my build was absolute trash.
My wyvern druid also needed an ungodly amount of attempts. My plant daddy got him first try (but that was lucky, I almost died several times).
He’s the second worst boss after Jamanra.
I did arbiter of ash when I had an awful build so I had to do his entire mechanics-rotation 4 times. Took me so many tries!
