RIP to my third Grand Expedition in a row, with 3 Perfect Chaos.

Does anyone know when this issue is going to be fixed?

Honestly, it’s ridiculous that a mechanic like this can completely ruin one of the main farming strategies, especially when this bug has been known i think for over a week already.

For real. I’ve lost zero Grand Expeditions, because as soon as I saw the influx of bugged runs, I haven’t touched them since. Happily grinding Abyss now. (Which still gets bugged by spawning abyss mobs outside of the map boundaries, but less frequently)

I’m actually getting really frustrated about the lack of communication from GGG. It’s not typical of them to be silent, at least say you acknowledge that there’s massive problems and you’re looking at it?

My girlfriend and I had just learned about expedition mechanics and really wanted to dive into it, because out of all the other endgame mechanics we enjoyed it the most. However we’ve stayed away completely after learning about everyone’s expeditions bugging and bricking

When they released 0.5.4b they said that it was their last update til August when they do the mini league. They communicated you just didn’t see/ hear it i suppose

I’m talking about communicating regarding something in the game that is clearly not intended to function the way it is because it’s completely bricking players maps. Bug fixes and hot fixes related to bugs have nothing to do with scheduled updates and their cadences, and demand to be addressed

I’ve stopped doing grand expeditions until there’s a fix, which really sucks since that’s the juiciest content in the game afaik.

I haven’t had this issue since the very start of the league and I pick oath rune all the time. Can I ask what build you’re playing, what tablets you’re using and how you juice the content in any other way?

I believe this issue is related to character positioning. I have found that if you remain close to the oath mob as they are spawning it prevents the problem. When I was kiting them around and it spawned off screen it was bugged.

After seeing all the posts about this the last week or so I decided to give this a go today. So far, I personally haven’t been able to replicate the issue. I even had a remnant earlier with 3 perfect chaos (also the last in a chain) and I managed to complete it fine whereas for you it did not work. I’ve also managed to complete numerous other runeshapes with oath runes like greater chaos and single perfect chaos without issue… Seems like theres some variance there which is probably making it difficult for them to work out exactly whats going on. Make sure you /bug.

I could be wrong, but I believe it’s also certain maps.

The red rock desert map (can’t think of the name and I’m at work) gives me an issue with either the invincible scorpion, or the an untargetable mob that accompanies him.

I believe it’s related to wisps in addition to oath. I’ve bricked 3 expeditions with 10 rune remnants where oath is one of them and on all three runs there were wisps too.

i believe its only when the Invulnerable mob is also possessed by a spirit..

Guys - not sure why the downvotes, if you’ve lost expeditions to this I’m sorry but my comment was merely to point out that the problem isn’t just the Oath Rune, as pointed out by my experience and the helpful responses to my comment.

Also useful to make people aware they can /bug as it’s easy to forget or not even know about this.

If you actually want it fixed, it’s conversations like this that help. Downvoting & therefore hiding a discussion just because it doesn’t match your experience just makes it harder for anyone who has something to add to find.

Tbf im making most of my money from Expedition right now. So many Divs, Aldurs Sagas, Aldurs Legacys. Have encountered a bug maybe once 🤷🏼‍♂️

When will the Oath Rune bug be fixed?
