Ranking the Most Underrated NBA Players Right Now Spoiler Alert… They ranked Neemy #1
Neemy is going to improve again this year, and also having Mitchell Robinson? I don’t see how we win less than 55 games, roster is still stacked and defense should suffocate.
Not to mention JT won’t have to defer any longer. Very real shot at an MVP season here.
The only argument for us having less wins than last year is that there are less teams tanking this year. Its hard to disagree with the general premise, but I think its kinda a cop out argument tho and probably won’t actually have a meaningful impact on the standings, at least for us. Neemy, Baylor, and Walsh have all massively improved every offseason and have given me no reason to believe that’s not gonna happen again. That should cancel out the little bit of effect the tankers have on us.
I think the only reason we would have less than last year in the regular season is load management. I’d imagine this is the year they start to roll it out on Tatum. I think the playoffs we are going to be full steam ahead
Yeah that’s my concern as well. In the past, if JT or JB were sitting out a game near the end of the season, the other one would play so we would always have a superstar playing. What are we gonna do this year?
Joe could move away from the board crashing heavy style, which caught many teams off guard in the regular season but was nullified in the postseason. I could see that be a growing pain for theyoung role players
I wouldn’t expect a vastly different record. Maybe a +/- 3 difference given good health.
Less teams tanking means we win more. We get rid of those random games we lose to tanking teams.

The question is Jayson Tatum himself. Idk why everyone assumes he can come off that Achilles and be an mvp candidate for 70 games. Brown gave us 70 games at 29/7/5 last year in a historically bad tanking season to reach 56 wins. Tatum on the other hand had to sit a game 7 because he physically couldn’t play. Literally unheard of his entire career thus far.
This years team is better for sure, but I think it’ll be difficult to crack 55 wins purely due to the load management that will be needed for Tatum, George, and Robinson.
Everyone has said that Tatum is basically mvp now that jb is out the way. Good riddance am I right? He’s totally healed and we have easy 60 game wins because of that and two back up centers playing starter minutes. Then nuggets are gonna give us jokic so they can have Paul George contract you gotta trust Brad and synchrony they are experts and we dont really know anything
The energy we’ll have on the offensive glass all 48 minutes is going to be glorious.
Regular season success for this team is a near lock imo. It’s the playoffs where our limitations will get exposed. We don’t have a clear 2nd scorer. We’ll probably be a 2nd round exit or a first round exit if unlucky.

A couple, three thoughts:
My obsession with Cason Wallace should be well known. I want that guy to be a Celtic so bad.
In my “Let’s Get Stupid” trade ideas last month, I had the Celtics fake acquire 6 of the 9 guys listed here, only “missing” Spencer, Reed, and McBride because I assumed they were untouchable.
Ty Jerome is gonna get traded at the deadline for a HAUL and it’s gonna flabbergast casual fans he went for “so much”.
Jaylen Brown is the most underrated player in the league after the past month.
Queta at #1 is a pretty bold pick. He played like 16 minutes a game and put up decent numbers but I wouldn’t call him underrated, more like underused. If we’re talking guys nobody talks about who actually move the needle, there are way better options across the league.
That said, I get the argument if you’re looking at per minute production. The dude blocks everything at the rim and doesn’t foul, which is rare for a backup big. Celtics fans have known he’s solid for a while now though, so calling him underrated to us feels off.
With more minutes this year he might actually prove the list right. Mitchell Robinson next to him would be a problem for anyone trying to score inside.
