I ran 100 Breachlord Sac’s. Here is what i got!
I know most of the folk here is just interested for the cost-reward-ratio, but droprate is an important part of SSF-Gameplay. 2% for the better lineage gems seems to be the same area as before. Thank’s for your work
You are welcome!
What does “3M 3VL 3L 3ML 1MSL1S” mean?
Sizes of the controlled metamorphosis ring.
This is what I don’t like in general in this game, every big farm (except maybe Sekhemas, but thats boring af) has opportunity cost and if you happen to be unlucky ur gonna gain 0 or negative.
EDIT: I DON’T KNOW the solution. I’m only stating that it feels bad if your luck is below average, if you farm enough then you will 100% have negative periods with whatever mechanic you heavily invest. In my mind it’s fine to not get lucky, but going backwards sucks.
You’re not supposed to just farm pinnacles non-stop. You can, but you have to take a gamble then. I think it’s fair and evens the playing field out to an extent - if pinnacle farm always left you in the green, the splinters would become inflated as hell, forever out of reach for players with a life outside of the game.
idk about Sekhemas, btw, it’s certainly more stimulating than just blasting most regular maps.
this is a poe2 design based problem though, in poe1 you absolutely can just farm bosses and be in the green because there is a much larger split between mapping builds and bossing builds. in poe2 most builds have really good aoe and single target so everyone can do both
if pinnacle farm always left you in the green, the splinters would become inflated as hell
Hell if pinnacle farm always got you profit, the price would increase until we reached this state regardless. this isn’t something you can “fix” when it’s just super basic market dynamics. People that run bosses are willing to pay this price which equates to this EV per run, and therefore that’s the price.
If the droprate of good things is buffed, the price of runs would increase until we reached roughly the same ratio of price/reward.
why run sekehmas, what can you get from it
The biggest one is indeed the Temporalis relic. But also: time-lost jewels and regular jewels if you don’t mind dabbling in jewel-crafting, Vase relics, Spectrum jewels and failing all else, regular currency chests.
thanks.
I looked up how to get temporalis, it needs a catalyst item before you can even attempt the challenge which is ultra rare and then the run itself is highly likely to cheese kill you because you often get attacked by trash range damaging you from off screen, especially in the time trial area.
Seems like a whole bunch of pain I could live without. id sooner love with RNG than trying to run that without damage. it’s already (imo) so poorly designed
That’s why people generally just sell what you called “a catalyst item”. It’s rather expensive.

that’s the cheapest one. yeah.
ah I see, that makes more sense then. worth farming for
there’s a relic I saw that offered a low percentage of resetting hp to 1 instead of failing, does that work if you stack it up? as a extra life kinda thing
There are specialized builds for Last Flame involving stacking Runic Ward
There’s no way this is what they go for right? I got one doing my 4th ascendancy and they were only like 9 divines at the time I thought
Temporalis relic
What would be a good build to run for temporalis farming in that case?
I mean, most builds these days require some 160 div gems in order to be great at it… not very beginner/dad gamer friendly
Are we talking Temporalis itself or the relic? If the former, anything that’s fast and can wipe screens safely from afar. Like, way afar. And some energy drinks.
If the latter, anything at all, as long as it’s strong enough. The hard part is that you want +relic drop chance relics on your altar for Zarokh to drop 2…4 unique relics, which means you miss out on a lot of bonuses, so again, preferably something that doesn’t get hit much. Some ranged icy build is the easiest option, probably. It takes maybe 5 div to assemble a working one, idk where these insane numbers like 160 come from. You don’t need all that bling to get going.
Feels like saying I don’t like rain cause it gets you wet.
Market prices adjust. Anything that’s insanely profitable is gonna get done by a lot of people and margins shrink. So every boss is always slightly profitable and not insanely profitable.
And if there are chase unique like those lineage gems, there’s variance. Which means you can get under profit by a bigger margin than the average profit.
You can change anything you want into those drop tables, unlucky people will always be in the negative.
That’s why the game’s in a good place. Tons of stuff that’s relatively the same profitability.
Thats always bossing
Did you want a salaried grind 😢
The entire game is a big rng simulator my guy.
Think about that though.
If a pinnacle is profitable consistently demand for its splinters, sac, egg, whatever goes up. Then its price goes up and it won’t be profitable anymore.
If you remove the base item and allow people to run bosses at no cost then their drops lose all value anyway.
It’s part of the game, not every will end up being profitable, some people will get lucky & some people don’t. If profits are the only thing you care about then idk what to tell you, it’s a game , have fun. Try hardcore try ssf
Every single player cares to make his/hers character stronger. No currency = no gear = weak character. It’s arpg, not some single player game to focus on story.
My point completely flew over your head brotha lol
RNG is RNG, there’s no solution to this.
EDIT: I DON’T KNOW the solution.
We’ve had the solution for almost the entire time I’ve spent playing RPGs in their various forms. The problem is it feels boring, uninspired, disconnected from the game as a whole, and lacks the dopamine hits that come from RNG drops.
Make every pinnacle boss give 200 of some untradeable currency and set up a vendor that sells all the important shit that can come from bosses/anomoly maps/etc. Rakiata’s Flow costs X, Garukhan’s Resolve costs Y, etc, etc.
It’s a boring and disconnected approach for most people and it would mean you always have to do the full “average” farm in order to get your first item, but it’s predictable. You could know that you have to do exactly 25 Jade Isles and you always get Rakiata’s, for example.
I would (potentially) love a solution like this but I imagine most would hate it, but it certainly solves the problem.
Not criticizing your preference, but at that point, (for trade league specifically) that seems like just one more complicated step in-between. And the guaranteed reward would remove excitement. Thus transforming the chase to a chore. Some people like to gamble, but few people want their games to feel like work. So people would probably buy instead.
Idk, mentally it even feels more exciting to me to buy something that was a lucky drop for the seller, instead of reminding me of a sweatshop (I know, in the end it already comes down to time invested, just more chancy).
Then again, logbooks, matriarch/patriarch sparks, breach sacs etc already are a bit like that - you buy a ticket, not for the guaranteed reward, but to use the slot machine.
Not a big fan of such mechanics per se, but I guess they work, and with the markets they probably are another lever to adjust effort(/time) vs reward. Like, without access cost, drop rates would have to be lowered, otherwise the associated items would devalue.
That is just the reality mostly of pinnacle bossing, it happens to many of the bosses in POE 1 as well if they have a giga drop.
I did 300 similar runs. Got 1 good lineage support worth 2 divines.
Ouch. RNG can be a very cruel mistress.
What lineage from xesht is worth 2d? Or are you saying you dropped a random global lineage?
3⁄5 times the tul/esh fight bugs out and I can’t damage them past 1⁄2 hp , looks like this never happened to you during your runs? I’ve given up this mechanic entirely
Probably bought Sacs
Yes i did.
Side note: until this week, I didn’t realise that in Breach Hives, there’s a chance that a skill can spawn as “Summon Tul & Esh” and they drop a a Breachlord Sac once defeated
same, i kill them in one nova or with a bit of leftover spark lying around. that maybe why i have never loot anything :x
generally means u dealt too much dmg too fast, for example on my twister gemling if i use my twister almost at all ill brick the fight, so i have to resort to spear throws almost entirely
You have to wait before damaging them. Attack them too early and they will bug. I let them do one pattern before blasting them to oblivion
I feel u king. My Monkey consistently bonked them while they were outside of the arena transitioning phases and broke the fight by str8 up murdering a mf. Only way I could get around it was by legit fighting them monkey-less until they started yapping up a storm(effectively playing with 97% of my dmg disabled) .
The drop rate of the lineage is SO LOW for something you can’t farm efficiently. Getting sacks is so long, idk how you can do it in SSF.
I mean if you’re target farming you just keep on doing breaches to travel and find the strongholds. Rinse and repeat. I will agree it’s annoying vs what it was before. It was way better before.
It’s probably the most annoying pinnacle to farm, but you can definitely target farm everything in SSF. I got Uul Netol on my SSF and once I finish all of Xesht’s uniques I’m outta there 😅
You can get multiple sacs per kill using high waystone chance maps, which helps a lot.
Doesn’t take too long if you target it farm it on SSF. I have about 130 kills now on him and have gotten all his lineage gems minus a specific metapmophosis that I’m aiming for
Thanks for the data! Really helpful for SSF.
Did you drop any Breachlord’s Amalgam? Wiki isn’t sure where it comes from, and if it didn’t drop from 100 Xesht, I’m going to plan on not being able to get it myself lmao
You are welcome! No i did not.
Seems like a global drop – probably off of mobs inside of a map breach?
Based on the trading prices on POE Ninja, there is no way its obtained through some expensive crafting recipe.
It drops from Tul and Esh
Thanks for doing this. I can never understand how to get the sac to drop. What is the trick here? Does it have to be in the breach hive areas only?
Here is a boss fight at the end of the large hive colony. You dont have to run the smaller ones
Double boss fight in Hive Colony (not hive fortress).
And I couldnt even do it cause the boss would bug out if you do too much damage. All tries I did resulted into esh and tul being invulnerable.
I don’t understand how we’re this far into the league and this bug still exists. I had it happen to me within the first two weeks of the league and pretty much swore off from doing any of the breach strongholds ever since.
Lol, this has been an issue with every boss that pretty much phases.
For a number of leagues there was a bug with crowbell where you could bug him so he was perma stuck in his enraged state in phase 2. That was present all the way back in 0.2 I think. I’ve heard they supposedly finally fixed it.
But you can probably just assume that every new boss that has phase mechanics is just going to have this bug initially, in the future.
you can also get the same bosses to appear in hive fortress and they can drop sac’s there as well.
I would say you got reasonably luck here.
Bro I cant even get find a 2nd attempts at him. I’ve got a plethora of breach splinters, but how the hell do you find so many strongholds to fight Xesht? Like I am terraforming, speed clearing nodes (sprint to boss) but this many attempts seems completely unfathomable lol.
You can buy the sac.
Yea, but don’t I need to find a new stronghold to fight Xesht? Or is it all from the same place? Sorry I’m brand new to the game.
No you fight him at the breach hub place (with the tree of Genesis) remember? It’s behind the tree where you meet the dreamer guy.
Edit: afaik all Pinnacle bosses are kinda like this - they aren’t at a map, they’re accessible any time you get the fragment to fight them. The ritual Pinnacle boss (bodach) is at the ritual hub, delirium Pinnacle (Raven trickster) is at the withered tree hub, general Atlas Pinnacle (arbiter of divinity) is at that big central tower hub.
Omg this is so good to know! Someone in my discord told me I needed to clear new breach areas to fight him again….this was after I said “I’ve got like 3000 splinters. I can make so many items to fight Xesht I think”
Ha yeah, to be clear you do need to find new breach hive areas to get the breachlord sac which you take to the breach hub to fight Xesht. But you can just buy them.
The splinters you have are used to reveal those areas on the map, where you get a sac as a reward for clearing I think (I haven’t done much breach this league)
So unfortunately if you want to take the easy way to farm xesht you gotta buy the sacs and they are pretty pricey. If you’re trying to make money honestly the best thing is selling the sacs lol
Edit: oh to be clear you turn 300(?) splinters into a wombgift that you take to the tree and turn into the actual item that reveals new hives on the map. So be sure you have one in your inventory while you’re exploring new areas on your map
Terraforming won’t do anything.
Just like citadels in prior leagues. Pick a direction and keep heading out. I think I had to go out nearly 6 screens from the quest center before I found my first non-quest Breach biome. The way they have this and the King in the mists, setup is complete trash. The King seems to be much more common though.
Tower hopping with Grand Projects would also be your best bet since it provides extra vision so that you can maybe avoid missing it, but that also makes it way more expensive.
After two of my Hive Colonies bricked (Bosses wouldn’t phase), I cba running any more of these lol
Need to get 100 breachlord sacs first. Gonna be long daysss ahead
I have seen your other videos as well. Good stuff.
Cheers!
The heck is a breach lord sack?
I would actually farm this but it is so boring leading up to the fight. Slowly walking through the expanding breach actually sucks, kills my desire to farm it this much
Here i am with 1 run and I got embrace from it.. gotta love rng lol
iirc rarity doesn’t effect pinnacles boss specific loot so having rarity would just improve the mob loot for the run upto xesht and the generic loot xesht drops.
Good stuff
OP, which Atlas master did you use for this? Doryani? Or Jado?
It says Jado on the pic
woops. see that now ty
Huh good to know.. i had considered running some of them, still haven’t figured out how to get more sacks without buying them I have a bunch of breach stones.
21th of July…
Fixed, ty.
Why do people use comma , instead of decimal .
Cuz he’s probably not from the states
Neither am I.
OK then.. Some countries use comma some dot..
It’s common in other parts of the world where a . denotes multiplication instead of using an x.
Mathematical symbols aren’t universal.
Look up international number conventions, they vary by country.
