As someone who has never even seen this item in-game: Is it “used” (gone) when you mirror an item or does it stay? How does it work?
Someone crafts the best possible item for any slot which can cost multiple mirrors to craft, 10 mirrors into one item is not unheard of. So you buy 1 mirror, take it to the person, trade to them, they right click the mirror, left click their item, the mirror goes poof, the 10 mirror item is copied into two, one of them unmodifiable and unmirrorable, it is traded back.
Why would you but an item worth multiple mirrors when a copy can be made for one mirror?
Nobody would. But you would make one and then charge a 500D fee for anyone who wants to copy it.

you usually use the mirror on a weapon which has the best rolls and the highest tier and roll within said tiers and is crafted from an exceptional base so it has an extra socket and is to 30% quality with vaal infusers, so you get a mirror and hand it over to the person with this cracked out weapon and sometimes a *small* fee of divine orbs and the mirror gets used up, making an identical copy with a mirrored tag. then the person hands you back that copy of his cracked out weapon and now you have your own cracked out weapon.
your copy can’t be mirrored though, only the original weapon.
I don’t think anybody would ever mirror a ring in PoE2. maybe if it was a crazy breach tree ring but even then it’s usually weapons.
