My thoughts on Simulacrum after 1000+ runs
Hello everyone, I lost my sanity over the last few weeks running over 1000 simulacra. It’s probably well over that but I stopped counting at some point. Anyways, I think the deli rework and the new simulacrum overall are a big success and I thoroughly enjoyed doing them, but some points of feedback I’d like to give:
Spawning Grand Mirrors is a bit cringe. Even with the optimal tablet setup you’re beholden to RNG and can go on long map streaks where you’re not spawning them. My feedback here would be to either raise the chance of spawning a Grand Mirror and/or give us the option to itemise the Fruit, much like Astrolabes in POE1’s Mirage league.
As for Simulacrum itself, the addition of options to spawn bosses each wave or add additional modifiers is fantastic. One thing I think could be interesting would be the ability to further juice with liquid emotions, like how you can use Liquid Verisium in Expedition. This would give value to worthless liquid emotions and give them another purpose. Just an idea.
Hopefully GGG are planning on adding other locations. Currently only Clearfell is available but like POE1’s simulacrum I’d like to see other locations added too, like Oriath etc. This would give the Simulacrum maps some variety.
For us controller enjoyers, the wave start interaction is placed too close to the juicing options. Space them out a bit please.
That’s pretty much it. My brain is fried after running so many of them. Loot wise my notable drops were 4x Voices, 2x Mageblood, 2x Headhunter and a bunch of other rare valuable uniques and valuable exceptional bases. I think I got a bit unlucky with the Voices. On one of them it took around 450 ish runs to drop one, which was kind of insane ngl lol. From my personal experience, Voices drop rate is not the 1% it’s touted to be at first.
Anyways, thanks for reading. I’m now going to run all these Raven’s Reflections lol.
