It’s a desirable affix for 2H maces

Only useful for giants blood builds

The only time when “Reduced attribute requirements” is useful is when it’s 100% which is never

Considering the low attribute cost of using most things outside of some + attribute uniques or Giants blood, it is a pretty weird attribute generally to have on gear. It’s easier and more beneficial to your character to just get + attributes somewhere else.

Going armor stack runic ward comet infernalist and reduced requirements would let me spec out of certain passive nodes for better nodes because I wouldn’t need as many attribute points

i swear that mod has a mind of its own. was trying to craft a decent pair of boots and out of six exalts, four of them landed on reduced attribute reqs. at that point im just feeding the slot machine and the slot machine is laughing at me. the worst part is when you finally hit a good life roll and then the very next slam is that stupid mod again, like clockwork.

the only time ive ever been happy to see it was on a 2h mace for a giants blood build, and even then it felt dirty. at this point id rather have light radius. at least light radius doesnt pretend to be useful most of the time.

at least in poe1 we could cope and say it made coloring sockets cheaper

It’s useful on gloves for martial artists cuz it adds 25-30 all attributes with way of the stone fist. But that’s fairly niche.

What affix and what it do?

The problem isn’t that some of the mods exist. The problem is the values are to low and are weighted way to high. If the cost is reduced by 35% off a 100 requirement and for the same tier I can just get 35 in a stat I would rather the stat as it gives additional benefits.

I swear I’m imagining things. Didn’t Giant’s Blood formerly have a requirement of only double the strength value? I know it’s triple now which makes no sense because two arms is double strength not triple

I dont think any affix is bad, just some are less good for certain builds. And some are less good for almost no builds (light radius) Reduced stat requirements allows hybrid builds to use gear they wouldnt otherwise be able to use. Yes, the pure stat might be better under alot of situations, but as a hybrid str/int or int/dex you might want a pure str chest and would otherwise be unable to use it.

I think the bigger problem is that we need more ways to use stats that people consider low tier. For example, a skill that turns light radius into AoE radius or skills that can covert reduced stat requirements into a damage modifier or something.

I unironically searched for this affix a couple of times while testing out builds

Yesterday I wanted to buy an ES helmet (I mean, diadem… clears throat) for my monk and just recognized after buying, that i was too dumb to use it. Then searched another similar one with lower INT. Oh hell, nothing I did know that reduced requirements on such helmets increased the price by A LOT. Now I feel comforted, that aparently there are many dumb folks out there. :D

Remember that every bad affix increases your craft’s value by simply existing.
