Tyler Herro’s reaction to being traded to the Bucks for Giannis: “Y’all done lost your motherfucking mind.”
Dudes been in trade talks for like 7 straight years.
If he thought he was going to stay in Miami he’s lost his mind.
Clearly we all know that to be true.
I mean let’s not act like we haven’t all said some absolutely delusional shit in the midst of pure cope
“Nah, I don’t believe in that. I don’t believe in anything that happened before 1950,” he declared when asked about the legitimacy of the 1969 moon landing. “I don’t believe in history,” Herro said at one point, doubling down on his skepticism

https://sports.yahoo.com/article/tyler-herro-believes-historical-events-151056832.html
I hope he was just trolling. But “absolutely delusional shit” is a good description of some of Herro’s past comments.
Lost in the sauce is how the moon landing categorically happened after 1950.
I hope he was just trolling.
Narrator: He was not.
Herro might be the dumbest player in the entire NBA and that’s really saying something because there’s a lot of competition for that distinction.
Lmfao. That moon landing comment is absolutely indefensible
It’s the issue with being surrounded by yes men and not enough friends that will humble you or call you out on stupid shit.
Kyrie Irving is one of my favorite players in the world, but the flat earth and anti-vaxing takes are just insane. He just has a manager who he hangs out with all day, everyday who will agree to everything he says and then the occasional YouTubers who will also agree with everything he says.
Even guys you would assume are super reasonable and not erratic like Steph Curry said he didn’t believe in the moon landing. Just unreal how deluded athletes are.
On the one hand, I feel for dude, constantly being put on the trading block has got to be tough. But you gotta acknowledge why the organization lost faith in you and prove that you will improve, and I don’t feel like he’s gonna do that. Like I like how Trae Young has been moving since getting traded to us. He’s been bigging up the team and the young guys, he’s said he’s willing to play more off ball so guys like AJ and Kyshawn develop, and he didn’t complain about not getting played sometimes so we could secure that #1 pick. I like that he’s building a good relationship with the Wizards, makes me feel like he’s invested. That’s what Herro needs to do, but I think his ego might be too big
I don’t think the Heat “lost faith” in Herro, they just wanted to trade him for Giannis
He’s been attached to trades for awhile and has had the exact same game with the exact same holes the whole time.
He didn’t exactly do anything for the Heat to see him as more than trade bait.
Before this past season, Herro noticeably improved every single year he had a full offseason. Being attached to trades for Kawhi, Giannis, Dame, and others of that caliber isn’t a slight at all.
He’s an idiot, but people acting like he’s worthless now is weird. He’s a fringe number 2, good #3 player on a contender.
He’ll likely do well on the Bucks, get traded or sign a big contract in the offseason, and do just fine.
People have been acting like he was worthless since Miami drafted him. This is nothing new and the exact same things they’ve been saying his whole career.
He’s never going to be a number 1. Miami is not a team that is going to rebuild through the draft. That means they need tradable assets, and he’s the main one with value.
Hes a serviceable guard with a nice contract that is good filler for trade. He just fits in a lot of big name player trades honestly. Like other dude said no one lost faith in him lol
Genuinely who on the Bucks should Herro say he will take a backseat or help develop lol
That is fair. I honestly can’t believe they kept that team and didn’t flip any of the players they got honestly, I thought for sure that was the plan
Would not surprise me if they move pieces who are showing out at the deadline to solidify their draft status
makes me feel like he’s invested
He has 212 million reasons to be.
Sometimes even that’s not enough, which is crazy
Herro is a borderline all star at best who acts like he’s a top 5 player
He let that weak Jack Harlow song named after him go to his head.
Jack Harlow doesn’t even take himself that seriously
I just assumed Herro paid for it to be made 😂😂😂
Oh no, Harlow is as bad or worse.
No way. As corny as he is, we haven’t seen him be as much of an arrogant snake and idiot as Herro.
Known historian Jack Harlow
[deleted]
Tyler Herro comparisons are disrespectful to Jody Highroller/Dale Dan Tony the Neon Icon and Rap Game Bon Jovi
Nah I can’t let any Riff Raff slander go. Met him a couple times and each time he’s been a peach. I’d rather meet him 100 times over before Herro once.
this is a compliment to herro right? riff raff is way cooler than lil dicky…
Nah he’s a good kid. I know people who’ve worked with him and he’s one of the more humble/pleasant human beings compared to most of the self centered assholes who think the world revolves around them that they’ve had to deal with.
Jack Harlow is terrible, but the beat is nasty. Scott Storch special.
He’s an idiot and always has been.
But I’m sure one of the reasons he has been an all-star is the irrational confidence.
100% true. He (and almost every player in the league) would be half the player they are without the insanely inflated ego. That’s a necessity to compete with the best in the world regardless of your profession. You have to believe you’re the best even if you’re the 50th best.
Gonna zag…. If he had less ego maybe he’d be more willing to adjust his game in a way that leads to winning basketball. Because as it stands the best playoff runs by the heat have been when he was injured
Yeah I don’t get it. A lot of successful role players are guys who were the 1st option all their life and realized they weren’t The guy in the NBA. If everybody thought they were still the top dog in the league, they’d all try getting every shot and team badketball woùd be bad.
There’s a sweet spot for sure. You gotta have the confidence to believe you can be the best, but also the self-awareness to realize how you can improve.
He also has horrible acoustics in his tv room
Unforgiveable with that kind of cash smh my head
Herro in name only
In phonetics only
He’s a 1 time all-star, 6th man of the year (so not even a starter that year), and was 2nd team all-rookie when he began (again meaning there were 5 rookies thought to be better than him). He was 2nd or 3rd option on the Heat most of the time (2nd in shots to Bam, and 2nd to Norm in scoring). He was the 4th or 5th best 3 point shooter on the team last year. He was in no way the most valuable player on the team last year.
Alternatively, Giannis is easily a top 5 to top 10 players (if you think he’s fallen off). The only one who remotely thinks this was a bad idea is Herro.
I mean if it was straight up Herro for Giannis, obviously that’d be an inarguable great trade for Miami. I don’t know if the actual trade was a bad idea or not yet, but it definitely isn’t obvious to me that it was a great trade.
I am extremely high on Giannis, I thought he was still the best player in the world for at least the first 2 Jokic MVPS. I think he is a top 15-20 player ever. But he is also past his prime with an injury history. It has yet to be seen whether giving up a lot of our future, including Herro, is worth Giannis.
Bro still thinks it’s 2020 in the bubble lmao
Unlike true all star Normal Powell
Normal powers
Borderline all star is generous
I know you need a little delusion as a pro athlete but man. Tyler is a good player but he is not the fastest, biggest, most athletic, best defensive or even the smartest/ high BBIQ player. So, how does he see himself as most valuable piece for an organization?
This MFer from Whitnall talking like that lmao
The mean streets of 116th and Edgerton
And Tyler’s parents have a real nice marriage
His real name’s Tylarence
Probably tells people to call him “T”
I think the actual answer is two-fold: he started playing AAU ball on a program in a more urban area of Milwaukee pretty young, and he’s an idiot.
lol plenty of kids do that and talk like Wisconsinites
“And he’s an idiot”
This cannot be stressed enough
imagine if Lamelo and Bridges and Miller got Kon talking like that
Kon is also from Milwaukee, but he’s not an idiot.
Fair 🤣 I was agreeing with you though if that changes anything
Not many white kids from Wisconsin are getting D1 offers like Herro was he ended up going to Kentucky but Wisconsin wanted him early. Oddly enough Wisconsin has had a run of basketball talent from the state recently. Halliburton, Herro, Jalen Johnson, Jorden Poole, Kevon Looney, Ochai Agbaji, Patrick Baldwin Jr, and Johnny Davis (Sorry Wizards).
People don’t like to talk about it but Wisconsin is sneaky a basketball state not a football state.
Yeah he used to hoop at King center on center Street and Cherry Street boys & girls club.
I want to preface this by saying all black people don’t talk in Herro’s “accent” in Milwaukee. That said, people don’t realize Milwaukee is damn near a black city and with Herro growing around the area it’s not shocking that he speaks this way. I lived in Milwaukee very briefly as a baby and didn’t visit frequently but have/know family from the area. Most of them middle class, mind you.
Herro grew up in a 70% white suburb and high school. He speaks the way he does because he thinks it makes him look cool and he’s a moron.
He doesn’t believe in the moon landing.
Seriously dude. Why does he talk like that? I’m from a small town in north central Illinois, and a kid I went to school with K-12 just started talking like he was born and raised on the south side of Chicago one day.
Herro is just like that kid.
They borrow from the culture when it’s convenient and cool. But never give back
Idk. I’m from the area and certainly don’t talk like that, but if you spend all your time around black people you’re probably going to talk like them more than your average white dude.
if you spend all your time around black people you’re probably going to talk like them more than your average white dude
But he didn’t. He went to a High School that’s 3.8% black and then went to the University of Kentucky. JJ Redick doesn’t sound like that.
He did hang out and play hoops at the MLK Community Center as a kid, which was in the hood. I’m not endorsing him always acting like this, but he was probably there as much as a kid as he was anywhere else.
You know who else went to a high school that’s 3.8% black? Those black kids.
And now plays in the nba
Yea it’s called code switching
I grew up in a white suburb and I spent a lot of time in black neighborhoods. I don’t walk around trying to talk “white or black” but the way I talk differs depending where I am with pace of talk, accent and word choice. Guys like Blake Griffin have shown it on camera lol and some of the guys who are media savvy then turn it off talking to their teammates.
Don’t all people conform to the culture they chill in?
How dare they?
How would he give back?
He pays taxes.
*Insert ‘I LOVE EM’ Colonel Lockjaw pic*
Try to be Eminem and not Vanilla Ice. Personally, I just respect authenticity. Like Timothee Chalamet walking through that crowd of Knicks fans at the Garden with timbs on and ripping his shirt off is very authentic New Yorker shit. Or like Austin Reaves, he doesn’t try to be anyone he’s not. He’s just a dude from Arkansas and he acts like it, and he’s cold as fuck, I love that. Something about Tyler Herro just feels put on I guess
I dont think anyone has ever accused tyler herro as being anything but authentic tbh. Its not like hes doing a bit or two facing it. Hes like that 100% of the time based on what people have said in interviews about him
Donate cash to his local strip club
It’s for charity!!
I grew up in fucking Wyoming and all the rich kids talked like that in 2010. Couldn’t help but laugh every time a black kid came around and they would code switch.
From what stories I’ve heard, apparently Herro started talking and acting that way at Kentucky.
Tyler Herro is an idiot. everyone knows this. that’s why
Am I tripping or is the only video I’ve ever seen of him talking like a normal white guy lmao
He’s talking like that in this clip, I’ve barely scrolled and am sure most of the top comments have not watched the video
He wasnt even talking hood, the fuck you talkin about lmao
For the past 2 years I’ve been telling people to look at his high school teams pics after then listen to Herro’s interviews
Giannis over me?? 😤😤😤
yeah dude absolutely
Lmfao like it’s even a question
Giannis over picks, other young prospects, and me??
Malibu’s most wanted
“Don’t be hatin’!”
(Actually, it’s perfectly fine to be hating)
Is that a freaking musket?
Lmao, I’m so glad to see all of these comments in here about how he talks. Dude is a fucking clown.
I got maybe 60 downvotes for poking fun — not getting upset, just poking a little fun — at Chet Holmgren for his Blaccent lol… and his was way stronger than Herro’s! “Aite imma fuck up y’all’s chemistry” brother you’re from Minnetonka
It really is crazy how Genz just decided that early 2000’s black culture was just going to be their default setting.
Had a random 18 year old white kid call me fam the other day. Even the blatantly racist ones have the “blacent” and slang.
at this point it’s more internet/gaming slang than anything else.
i said i got the GameCast, man!
Traffic traffic traded me in traffic.
…feelin’ kinda car sick, there’s a Dallas Maverick!
thurs a million dolla rhyme right dare!
T-Rabbit
Want is a strong word. Malibu’s Most Alright Sure.
Brad Herro. And pronounce it the right way. It’s B Rad.
He kind of reminds me of season 1 Jesse Pinkman
Yeah bitch!
Magnets, bitch!
Hesi, bitch!
Not nearly as likeable
J roc from trailer park boys
He talk like that? - Cade Cunningham
lol
For everyone trying to say he came from a “rough” suburb of Milwaukee and all that other nonsense, this is how he actually talked in high school:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DKLCtI-iOwg
Watch that then watch this:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FCtvNmrcCbY
If someone feels more comfortable talking a certain way or code switching for whatever reasons, it’s really not that big a deal. But people need to stop pretending like it isn’t what it is.
Crazy thing is how back in the day players had to do the opposite. Jordan didn’t talk the way he does now until his agent David Falk specifically started working with him to improve his speech. When he was at UNC he sounded much more like a country boy from Wilmington: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uSPLMiH7tqQ
Is it not just from spending so much time around black teammates
its a little more heavy handed than that. its hard to describe. Like Dirk had a slight blaccent when he said a few words or phrases. But Tyler sounds like he’s “trying” sound blacker.
I think it can depend. I grew up around in a pretty diverse area and I talk a lot with black and white people. I definitely code switch a bit (not every time), but it isn’t exaggerated with almost every word like Herro’s. He’s more heavily in that type of surrounding than I am or ever was, but he at some point was/is likely consciously exaggerating the blaccent beyond what “makes sense”.
Isn’t like it’s offensive, but just a bit fun to poke fun at.
It isnt like Kyle Korver developed anything like that lol. Austin Reaves has less of one and he even grew up in the south which is heavily more diverse than Minnesota. So yeah, Herro leans into it a bit more.
Not in court.
As a white player how far can you go with AAVE colloquialisms before your teammates start getting weirded out or annoyed?
Depends on where you’re from and who you grew up around. Which means Tyler should talk like Carlton Banks.
He grew up in a suburb, but it was not one of the “nice” suburbs. He’s closer to trailer trash than old money
I need a white guy scale to make the comparison. does it start from Marky Mark to Machine Gun Kelly to Eminem?
The way I would put it is that’s it’s a suburb that feels safe, but all the white people in the neighborhood will tell you how dangerous the gang violence is nearby “in the city”.
Yeah but like Hales Corners is actually super safe and pretty “nice”.
Unless my perspective is just way skewed
Ok. Think of it like McDonald’s salad back in the early 00s.
They pushed it as “healthy” because it wasn’t 1200 calories of burgers and fries.
But it was an 700 calorie salad because of the ranch.
He’s from a suburb that the nice suburbs to the west and the north think is full of poor white trash but in reality it’s a great place to live. But don’t tell them that we like our houses cheap down here.
Until you tell Bam “square up then homie”
As far as to Milwaukee
Back to Milwaukee lmao
Can’t imagine he grew up speaking like that
I’m from a majority black community in the South and Herro makes me sound like Sheldon Cooper in comparison. Every time he opens his mouth, it feels like a hate crime.
Don’t be hatin
About as far as the first time they go to a party at your house and realize you don’t talk to nobody in your family like that.
Bam can probably answer that question.
Y’all are so weird tbh, I don’t think he is that bad.
You can just tell when it’s not natural
Herro and Kuz together, pray for their Bucks team mates. Between Kuz giving business advice and Herro claiming all history is fake they are gonna have a great time!
Well except Herro dating Kuz’s ex, right?
Has children with
Yeah didn’t they have beef in the 2020 finals over this? This comment randomly activated a memory from then lol
Eh, at least Kuz has a good take on occasion brings positive vibes to the team. Herro’s just a cocky douchebag moron, plain and simple.
The Bucks are trading Herro as an expiring for a bad contract.
Kuz’s recent comments make him look like a genius compared to Herro
talkin about “we going back to cali” brother you are headed to milwaukee
The point is he’s from Milwaukee.
Going back? Coming home? People didn’t catch this?
There’s no version of going back to cali where the artist was from cali lol
EDIT: how am I getting downvoted for stating a fact lol, LL Cool J and Biggie were going to Cali to visit and get away. Biggie said “if i wanna squirt her take her to fatburger” not a single lyric references going home to california
People love to hate on Herro, even when it doesn’t make sense (which I don’t get because there’s plenty to hate him for that’s real).
Coming home made sense. Going back to Cali made zero sense. At least his friend appears to be a little more intelligent than him but it’s a low bar lol
kind of cool that he’s a local, that doesn’t happen too often, but dude is in trouble if he’s the best player on the team lol
It’s a song name…
It’s just a song reference. No need to take it that seriously. The bad part is he gets the melody completely wrong.
The Boys Are Back in Town is by Thin Lizzy who are from Manchester, which last time I checked is also not Milwaukee
It’s almost like they are a series of song references with the theme of returning
What? Thin Lizzy is from Ireland
I always had a sneaking suspicion that there’s no black people on this sub. This pretty much confirms it 🤦
Dude is going out in public dressed like its the first day of 7th grade.
I try not to hate on people’s personal style but it really does give me middle school vibes
Herro is genuinely one of the stupidest people
From his Wikipedia. I’d say you’re right lol
In a June 2025 livestream, Herro stated that he didn’t “believe in history.”[70] He specifically denied Christopher Columbus’ landing in America, [Wilt Chamberlain’s 100-point game](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wilt_Chamberlain’s_100-point_game), and the moon landing.[71]
fuck no wonder the guy thinks he’s better than Giannis. he doesn’t believe anything in the past is real!
he didn’t “believe in history.”
Ahhh that explains why he talks the way he does - he doesn’t believe he grew up in the suburbs of Milwaukee.
I just really don’t like this dude. IDK. Never got a good vibe from him
And he has the worst tattoos I’ve ever seen.
No shot they’re worse than Mike Scott. That man has iOS emojis plastered on his body. But also idk wtf Tyler got on
The blaccent and arrogance is what does it for me.
Punchable face and history denial definitely adds a layer to it
everyday Amen Thompson is validated
How so? Did I miss something
Amen tossed Herro across the court like a rag doll. Lead to a bunch of ejections.
Then, in the rematch, Amen dominated Herro. Amen was very clearly on a mission to embarrass him too. Called iso on him multiple times….successfully, I might add. Had a nice block from behind on a layup after Herro thought he had Amen beat.
The main thing I remember from that whole thing was Tyler’s post game interview in the locker room. He gave the interview wearing huge goofy ass sunglasses, trying to act cool, and laid that fake accent he does on VERY thick. He was obviously embarrassed about the whole thing.
“How they gonna send my black ass to Milwaukee?
- Tyler Herro
No other NBA player thinks as highly of himself than Herro does.
Cam Thomas
They said nba player
Cam Thomas is busy learning Chinese.
Cam Thomas?
that smile at the beginning as he walks away. I hate to do the reddit armchair analysis but I am and he’s definitely holding back tears lol
I don’t think he thinks he’s better than Giannis. I think he’s just calling them crazy for making him go from Miami to Milwaukee.
I think he’s just saying it’s crazy to be traded back to Milwaukee where he’s from…
Dude is a real life J-Roc
If Kevin Federline had a jumpshot.
It’s J-Roc if he was a pro athlete
Doubtful. The Heat been desperate to trade away Herro for years. And when they finally found a team stupid enough to do that trade, the Heat pulled the trigger.
This video is diarrhea
This is hilariously next to the McBride quote about knowing your role. Herro might benefit from hearing that.
Herro at his peak was an all star. It doesn’t apply to him. At least right now. But in a year or two depending how it goes for him, he will need to figure that out.
His role got him traded as the center piece to a top 7 nba player
Never heard the complaint that Herro can’t play a role
People realize he’s happy in this clip, right? He’s singing a song about going back home
I have known people who use amphetamines that don’t look as amphetamine userish as he does
Looking like George Pickens on Draft Night.
Man went to the WWE school of looking at TVs
J to the R O C
You can’t be talking like that white baby
