Found the Beast
That island is Oriath, a place that we visit and fight for in PoE1 in the fifth and final acts of it’s campaign.
For PoE2, the fully grown Beast was brought toward that island by the twilight order. What you see is an Easter egg teasing the fifth chapter of the campaign.
It costs one logbook to reveal the island. You cannot land on it. You will only get a teaser when you hover Oriath, that reads: “Heroes from different cultures gather to save the world”. Which references one of Hinekora’s prophecies in poe1’s trial of the ancestors league.

Didn’t Sirus already take care of that island?
This is happening 20 years after that, so they just rebuilt it by then, although the ones who rebuilt do not seem to be the previous surviving Oriathans but the Twilight Order instead.
They are a new enemy faction from PoE 2 that appear to have been hiding all along, waiting for their chance to do whatever we will find out in PoE 2’s Act 5

Oriath is going to be so depraved and wrong. I just know it’s going to squick me at least once.
I “found” mine week one of the league, but unfortunately RNG screwed me over and my zone is fully covered in black fog still, i can hear the dude growling, i can barely see a few of his tentacles moving, but i dont get to see it fully, there are also no uncharted waters for me to try to reveal it :(

IIRC someone found this some time ago. I doubt it’s on that list.
As others said, it was found already. And I know not everyone watches the Q&A after the reveal and stuff, but this was also called out as being possible in the Q&A. So, it’s been known since a few weeks before the league started.

This really isnt a Secret Like its pretty obvious one you start mapping, and there have been Posts about this scince day 1 or 2
