Vegas will be a shit city for home fans, and likely an amazing experience for out of state people with stupid money to blow. Most people have theorized that companies will likely be the biggest spenders for those Vegas sports teams, game tickets/merch will just be used as prizes/business courting offers.

I don’t know if it’ll crash and burn for all of them, but I do think the market might get crowded enough where one or two teams end up relocating.

Vegas has been reinventing itself once about every decade or so for a while now. In the 80s-90s it was focused on family fun. Arcades in every casino, fun pools and theme parks. Then early 00s-10s it turned itself into an adult playground and had a huge “what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas” campaign that was very popular. Clubs and partying in Vegas was the thing. Draft kings, fanduel, and every Indian casino now eats at gaming and sportsbook revenue so the focus shifted to entertainment and sports. It’s also focusing on catering to the rich. The casinos realized that a handful of whales make more money than thousands of people blowing away a couple hundred bucks. The casinos also buy out the luxury boxes for events and vip gifts where the real money is at for these venues. I honestly don’t see it crashing anytime soon. Check back in 20 years.

Idk about all of this but I believe Las Vegas Raiders are doing really well over there. Stands to reason an NBA team will do well enough

My scorching hot take is that a Vegas team should take the Aces name from the WNBA team. That’s the only name I’ve seen that fits the gambling nature of Vegas without being too on the nose.
