NEW STORY: I just covered my third NBA Summer League, and there’s nothing I love more. Tried to explain why:
You know a Noa Dalzell story from the title because actually sounds like real journalism instead of just content creation. Sad for the world that journalism is nearly dead, glad to see a young journalist actually take it seriously. Good work.
I like Noa’s work but if you read the piece this was not journalism just a reflective blog. No real story or scoop here.
The story is the experience of summer league, something that may be a nothing burger to you but may not be for others
Just like how some people like mint chocolate…
Noa - I want you to know that we feel the joy in your writing, and it’s exactly what we love about you. While I’m sure many (including me) are super envious of the position you’re in to cover the Celtics, the way you manage to pass all of that experience on to us in a way that allows us to share in the joy is extremely unique. Thanks for sharing the experience with us!
Thank you so much! That is always my goal. Really appreciate the thoughtful comment
They used to have it here at UMASS Boston. I was just a kid, but I loved it. Got to see Lebron’s first game.
I was at that same game as an 11 year old. It was insane. We need it back up here somehow.
omg I didn’t know that! so cool
It was the best. It left in 2004 when they had the Democratic National Convention in Boston and never came back. Was a great take. They should bring it back to Boston. Who wants to be in Vegas in 110 degrees.
Always love your articles Noa, we are blessed to have you cover the Celtics extensively
Know that your dedication and hardwork is felt!
Thank you!
Great piece, Noa! I always enjoy your writing.
Has always been a bucket list trip for my friends and I. Hopefully make it happen soon
Noa, you are a shining example of what sports journalism should be. Keep up the good work!
As I was watching the games and really taking in what the atmosphere must be like I decided that going some year is now on my bucket list. This article cemented it.
There’s nothing you love more than Summer League?
Interesting.
