Tyus’s fall off is kind of crazy. He was a great regular season player for us but in the playoffs his play would diminish. Didn’t stop other teams throwing him the bag cause he played so well in our system. Props to him

If Denver manages to retain Watson and Jones, call me crazy but this might not be as bad of a spot as it seems. Definitely not their best bench of the past few seasons but I am intrigued by Holmes, Diallo and Strawther specifically. Is Tyus jones fully washed? Idk.

It is easy to forget because of how their season ended, but Denver looked really strong last season. I’m not sure what to expect but I’m not buying the obituaries quite yet

If the Nuggets can retain Jones and Watson, they could be a contender… if healthy. Those are BIG ifs for sure, but a healthy Nuggets team could make some noise.

He was the best defender in Euroleague last year and a very consistent player with Monaco all year long. Really solid 3 & D player

Holmes wasn’t full out of the rotation. He played sporadically as he should since he was a rookie coming from the most devastating injury a basketball player can have. An Achilles injury, but every time he played he was positive and impactful on limited minutes.

Alpha Diallo is THE DEFENDER OF THE YEAR IN EUROPE and a 4 times winner of the LNB Elite which the highest level of competition in Frances with AS Monaco. DO NOT DISRESPECT THE ALPHA. Averaged 11ppg 4rpg 2apg 1spg 51%fg and 37% 3PT during his whole time in Europe while playing the best defense by any player in Frances AND EUROLEAGUE and constantly reaching later stages on the EUROLEAGUE

Zeke Nnaji is complete cheeks trash. Dude should retire to help the Nuggets. He won’t be playing minutes at all.

Marvin Bagley put his best season yet just last season.

Tyus Jones is trash. Dude is complete washed and shouldn’t be on this league at all.

Trevor Brazile is a very good prospect to have with a ton of potential who only fell this low on the draft because injury concerns and his age being 23. He was mocked as a mid round to late FRP before his injuries. He got a 13ppg 7rpg 2spg 2bpg 1apg in college with FANTASTIC physical tools to be a great defender, who run the floor hard, with a very strong finishing skill around the league and expanding his J’s to the 3PT

Julian Strawther quite literally won them a playoffs games on his rookie season. He didn’t played much because he was plagued with injuries the whole season earning him not consistency.

What i see is the Nuggets fixing a massive glaring issue that they got last season. Lack of mobility,athleticism,length,perimeter defense and SWITCH defense. If we assume than they are keeping both Jones and PWatson this bench can be very good.

is a DISGUSTING lengthy,athletic,quick and explosive lineup to run from your bench. It is in line with the kind of lineups teams are using nowadays. At lot of quick feet, at lot of length, at lot of switching ability and stretching of the floor. All of those guys can shoot the 3PT spacing the floor

The only thing that i see being “deeply unserious” is you lack of actual knowledge about those players

The owners gave up after the ring. It’s clear that they don’t care especially when seeing that David Adelman is still the coach

I dont think healthy Gordon and Watson can make up the gap between them and the thunder and spurs.  I really think they need to consider a bigger trade of Murray or Gordon.  Sure it might not work but what else can they do?  No picks no money.  The top end talent of the team just isn’t good enough anymore

I’m all-in on Adelman pulling a Spo and making a bench of nobodies look elite this season. It’s time to make Nuggets Culture a thing.

Nuggets bench is nowhere near finalized going into next season. Right now, Nuggets are stuck in making any other moves vet min signings right now until they wrap up the Peyton Watson situation, who’d be the 6th man, or starter if they trade Cam instead. The offseason isn’t finished yet, and Nuggets are going to get better depth one way or another.

Bagley and Tyus Jones will be in the rotation. Bagley will be a solid backup to Jokic and not a significant downgrade from JV. and Tyus Jones wasn’t in the rotation last year because he was an end of the season acquisition and wasn’t familiar with running the point as a back up, and is actually an upgrade over having no ball handlers other than Jamal. Everyone else is unplayable in the playoffs unless Julian Strawther makes a leap.

With this bench we’d have a solid chance competing in the G-league. Competing, doubt we’d win though lol

Holmes, Bagley, and Strawther are good bench pieces and if they re-sign Watson and Spencer Jones then they’ll suddenly be deep again so its no where near as bad as you make it sound lol

Born and raised in Colorado, life time nuggets fan. I have been saying this since before the playoffs. It’s over, we had our run we had our magical moment. It’s time to rebuild.

Jokic isn’t going to request a trade. He’s just going to play out his contract and sign somewhere else. The writing is on the wall.

Tbh Jokic-era Nuggets are never known for their bench depth. Last season everyone was so happy (remember everyone was praising their winning off-season?) saying it’s the best team Jokic ever had—and they got bounced by the crippled Wolves.

On a serious note, Bagley is a good pick-up. I think people are sleeping on him or probably haven’t seen him play. Nnaji is not that bad at 4 and Strawther should get some minutes at times.

But more importantly, if they still insist on the Jokic/Murray/Gordon (health questionable) core, then any improvement is marginal at best. No bench can make them a tier 1 contender in the playoffs.

I’m afraid that the Thunder will be next in line after we have to pay 3 of our guys supermaxes for the foreseeable future. It’s going to get ugly. Last year was our best shot at another.

We see with the superstar trades that the receiving team is gutted in order to acquire the superstar. Jokic needs to leave in free agency after the season if he wants to move to a competitor and not waste the 2 years of his new team trying to rebuild.

It’s on ownership to build around a generational talent - not for the generational talent to feel pressured to leave because his team is shit. I type this as I know in a few years if OKC falls off there will be the “Shai should leave OKC” posts even if Shai triple confirms that he’s with OKC. Same shit will happen with Wemby if the Spurs don’t win in a few years because the same shit happened with Giannis for years, and even after he won!
