Pat Riley Making Bam Jokes: “I don’t wanna get knocked out”
Just going to use this moment to remind everyone Pat Riley told Danny Ainge to shut the fuck up in an official Miami Heat press release
Based
Rileys been a gangster since the 90s.
90s? Try since the 60s. NBA player to coach to executive, gangster the whole time
My memory only goes back to the 90s lol
I believe that though.
I guarantee you’re older than the person you responded to lol
Edit: that’s not disrespect. I can just tell. Don’t act like they’ve seen more Riley than you.
Goes back farther than that too. Riley was on the Rupp-coached Kentucky Wildcats, and on the team that lost to the West Texas team highlighted in the Glory Road movie. The man was a SEC player of the Year and has AP honors too.
Dude has been a straight baller for basically forever.
Giannis blanking out
Giannis forgetting if he did bet on Kalshi if Pat Riley would reference Bam’s altercation.
What the hell is he wearing lol, he looks like he’s about to cue up Cosmic Bowling
True, but I lowkey like it. Looks nice.
Elementary school picture day fit (complimentary)
Pat doesn’t care lol
Pat probably respects it lol.
Maybe they are just clapping for bam, but it certainly sounds like they all are going crazy for him knocking out herro, which is weird.
They were unquestionably clapping for bam. He was mentioning bam as a franchise cornerstone
Not really. Tyler was talking shit about Bam. The heat have Bams back
Majority male spaces tend to not be so soft irl. They aren’t Redditors
Heat culture.
It was a bad joke. He went through naming all the players that have come through and left their legacy in the organization and did not mention Bam.
Then he corrected himself
Bam punches Herro for saying he’s not worth 60 ms - Hero
Draymond punches Poole for calling him an expensive backpack - Villain
Like neither of these incidents are ok and worth hitting somebody over but why is it funny when Bam does it all of a sudden?
Herro just comes off like a douche sometimes while Draymond is himself the ultimate douche. It really just depends
Also this didn’t happen at an official team practice
It’s easier to give Bam the benefit of the doubt because he doesn’t have the history that Draymond does.
Also Herro gave an interview later that day and looked completely fine. Ppl saying bam knocked him out or full punched him like wat Draymond did r overexaggrating
Because one is a teammate that worked together, had their backs and then comes out that one of them is venting to no profile pic randos on the internet about the other guy while this bum has been coasting off of a couple of decent seasons. The other was a grown man caught in his feels punching out a kid a decade younger for a snarky comment in practice.
Hands down this is the best explanation you’ll find.
Dray also sucker punched the man when he clearly wasn’t ready to brace himself for a punch. Frankly we don’t know if this is the case for Bam
Because his name is bam.
And he bammed someone
“You ain’t worth sixty mil-💥BAM💥”
Is name is Herro. So he’s a Hero.
“Thank you Tyler Herro.”
“Herro?”
“Because…… you’re a hero.”
“oh ok”
Herro grabbing a six-[ack of wine coolers and loading up that burner account. Shit could get interesting.
Giannis was somewhere else for that joke
Alright well now we’re just conflating this whole thing. If Herro got slept we’d have known.

Dude why have you commented this on like 8 different posts in this sub. Are you a bot?
He needs to work on the delivery.
I’m ngl it’s kinda weird that when Draymond punched Jordan Poole he was public enemy #1 but when Bam punches Herro everyone finds it funny and something to gloss over
Why is it weird? People already didn’t like Draymond so he was the villain of that incident. People already didn’t like Herro so he’s the villain of this one, people aren’t taking principled moral stances here lol
Yea you’re right. I just expected people to have a more nuanced reasoning than that
Situations are legitimately the exact same, and if anything Bam is worse because he confronted Herro in person over what he said in messages in front of civilians, Draymond and Poole had a heated argument at practice that got out of control
was poole talking shit about his good friend draymond on ig with some random fan? i dont see how the situations are exactly the same
Bam could’ve called Herro to confront him
Instead he tracked him down in person and punched him. His actions were more or less premeditated
Draymond and Poole got into a heated argument at practice. Poole pushes Draymond away from him, Draymond punches him
Look. I’m not trying to say Draymond went about punching someone in the face like a saint, there’s no such thing.
But trying to act like theirs any conceivable way that Bam is not wrong for punching somebody who is with the kids of his AAU team is asinine. It’s not like Herro spilled some dirty groundbreaking secrets he simply said he didn’t think he was worth 60 million😭
how do you know that bam didn’t call herro to confront him as well? i wouldn’t have responded the way bam did but i can’t say herro didn’t deserve it, talking shit about your supposed friend with randoms is snake behaviour
So he called him and still punched him the face?
You think that changes the dynamic of things?
Nothing anyone will say will make it right. People think Herro is a douche, and ppl find it funny, and probably refreshing that this happened. You aren’t going to convince anyone who is entertained by it, they wanted him to get punched, lol. If draymond gets punched tomorrow everyone is jizzing themselves without a video. Its not about being moral its about a twisted sense of justice. They just dont like the guy after hes shown some of his true colors.
no? you’re the one that said “he could’ve called herro” as if we know for sure he didn’t
Called Herro to confront him as an alternative to punching him in the face bro Jesus Christ
If he was to call him and still end up punching him that doesn’t change anything
“tracked him down” - r u just making up fantasies? Reports were that both the heat and bucks used that hotel and practice gym and that Herro said something first b4 bam went over to him and confronted him
If you replaced Jokic and Morris with completely different players people would have had way more of a response to a spinal injury. It is 100% based on reputation of the players
I don’t think this is very similar, morris just cheapshotted him and jokic cheapshotted him back. The outcome was worse for Morris and not a good thing, but jokic’s action was a lot more understandable than bam’s or draymond’s.
You: “I expected people to have more nuanced reasoning”
Also you: “situations are legitimately the exact same”
Says the obviously impartial Heat fan, have some self awareness
I had no take here. I did nothing but point out your hypocrisy.
I could see the practice being worse if it wasn’t resolved properly because that’s essentially happened in your “home” if you’re Poole.
Expecting NBA fans to understand nuance is the first problem. It might be one of the most unreasonable online fanbases in sports.
We also don’t know exactly what happened with the Herro incident. We have video of the sucker punch draymond had and it looked really bad
Power dynamics I think. Draymond is Pooles vet. Bam and herro are more like peers I guess
There isn’t a video yet
Draymond was a habitual line stopper. Was Bam?
I think the video has a lot to do with it. The way I remember that was when it became a huge deal and draymond public enemy #1. It’s like ray rice. Everyone was going to try and let it blow over and move on until the video dropped
Shows you how hypocritical the world is
