Tyrese Haliburton asks LeBron James his most underrated quality as a player. He points to his availability: “I think, as a leader, it’s hard to be able to lead a group of men out there if you are not available to them on a consistent basis.”
Lebron James is not going to Philadelphia.
He played with AD so it doesnt mean anything. He said that about himself
LeBron James was never going to be led by a teammate, let alone Joel Embiid.
He’s talking about himself being the iron man to lead

Joel declared Maxey the leader and “The Franchise” years ago
Maxey’s the leader in Philly these days.
None of the teams on his list have really been great health wise recently. Cleveland is probably the best suited in that regard.
Yea this sub isn’t gonna like this one
well most people in this sub are miserable in real life anyways and take it out online
Is that you June 2011 Lebron?
Availability is treated as the least important thing for casuals lol
Huh why?
Not sure either. This sub will argue about it when it comes to comparing him to jordan or kobe, and his overall ranking, but if we’re talking about just Lebron, there will be a ton of LeWhy, LeDecision type of jokes. Some discussion, sprinkled hate, that’s it.
You deadass blinded by irrational hate if you think LeBron is a bad leader. His presence within a team is arguably his best trait
he didn’t say his best quality, he said his most underrated

Except for back to backs, due to his back 😅 LeSciatica
He played back to backs last season tho
after the sciatica and missing out on team functions earlier in the season.
He was 40-41 years old with 23 years in the league so I’d give him a pass for old man injuries

This joke is the greatest & longest running joke ever… You know, you could say it’s the LeBron James of all jokes. LeJoke.

Bronny: “my father stepped out during free agency and never came back.”
His father stepped out during free agency and came back as the enemy
Can see people interpreting this as a Luka shot from a mile away. He’s been saying this for a long time though
Last three regular seasons combined
LeBron (age 39-41) 201 games played
Luka (age 24-26)184 games played
Yep. I’ll always say I think Nico was right to trade him while hot. Just dumb to not make it a bidding war
As a Lakers fan Luka’s conditioning is definitely worrisome
That can be true but LeBron has always been prideful about “being out there for his teammates”. I remember him saying that when he suffered that high ankle sprain in 2021. Was disappointed in himself for not being out there
He’ll be alright he’s had to be highest usage player for years now due to bad squads. He still has played a decent amount of games every year. He played much more minutes then bron in the regular season too. Even when he misses games he often plays way more minutes then others who have played more games then him. He’s used every single possession on offence and is made to defend due to bad team structure around him. This upcoming year he’ll be optimized the best he’s ever been in his career due to the pieces they’re putting around him.
He might be their best wing defender right now.
I don’t see how this roster around him alleviates the burden on him if the argument is that because he has such a large load, that’s why he’s injured more.
Lebron has played with much much worse teams than Luka and did not have those issues…
He will be fine. Lukas conditioning was not a problem at all this season. Just some heavy minutes mixed with bad luck (and scheduling, my god what was it 5 games in 8 days?) in March.
I thought it was at kawhi haha
He’s right
I get what he’s trying to say, lots of guys careers can sometimes have an asterisk mark about how healthy they are. Lot of “what ifs” in this league
Starting to wonder if a decsion is coming at the end?
LeLection is coming
Lebron added, “So when you’re the #1 guy on the team, when it’s YOUR team, and you’re out there blowing up your leg and missing a year, it’s just a bad look, ya know?”
Tyrese then sat in silence for 15 minutes while Lebron refused to break eye contact.
There’s very few true leaders in the NBA. Being a leader quite literally more than just being the number #1 option.
Why did Hali tear his Achilles? Is he stupid?
Damn wonder how many redditors are at the crowd lol. 3rd post in different sections
Jayson Tatum stock on the rise (Let’s forget he tore his achilles)

Good answer, and really something that people don’t talk about as much. Availability is an important part of being seen as a leader. People gotta believe you’re in the trenches with them and taking bullets just the same as them.
The number one reason I think Kyrie is massively overrated is his lack of availability throughout his career.
Stray at Day-to-Davis?
That’s true!
Turns out u gotta show up to work and not be remote to lead
Direct shot at the Haliban
Makes you think about his time with Luka
You mean where Luka played more minutes than LeBron?
Luka averages close to 65 games a season man, not including playoffs and national team commitments. Especially given his usage, I don’t think anyone is asking why he isn’t available.
65 games a season while in his athletic prime 🤣🤣🤣
He’s going to Philly to beat Wemby in the finals and bring the city a championship after 40 years
Lead some teammates right to their new teams 😂
[deleted]
When did he do this?
I think hes referencing the lakers trading everyone for westbrook?
He ain’t a leader and never was or will be. Is what it is but he ain’t GOAT because of it.
These athletes are so fucking full of themselves.
But he’s only available to lead your team when they have cap space, tradeable assets and flexibility to microwave a super team. After that’s gone he’s leading his way out of there.
And you win a championship, which is ok I guess.
