Corey Brewer and Josh Smith combined for 29 points in the 4th quarter against the Clippers to win game 6 of the 2015 Western Conference Semifinals
I check under my bed at night for Josh Smith
Always keep a trout sandwich on hand just in case
Seeing Josh Smith iso into a step back 3 was stressful previously but it was going in this 4th quarter.
Rockets had some great pieces. Shame they never got past the Warriors. Always felt like if they did they’d have won at least 1 championship.
Josh Smith was the original king of the “foot on the line 2”. He was terrible at making them, but he did love taking them. It’s like he was engineered in a lab to give Daryl Morey a heart attack.
once again CP3 with huge basket in the end
If you scripted that comeback, people would say it was too unrealistic.
Josh Smith shoots like 28% from deep for his career, that mf turning into Ray Allen in this game just to spite the Clippers is curse-level bullshit lol
The funniest shit is the Clippers did end up signing him in free agency a month later, and to the surprise of nobody he was absolutely terrible for the Clippers
Just the updated version of Tim Thomas. Torched us (and the Lakers) in the ‘06 playoffs, we sign him that same offseason, and he’s mostly cheeks with us.
Clipper curse is absolutely a real thing. Wagler is gonna tear his ACL any fuckin day now just like Blake
This guy knows clipper curse ball.
Wagler will never have to play in staples as his home court. This must be what breaks the curse is right…right…please
Classic Doc Rivers choke
Doc Rivers lol
Corey Brewer and Josh Smith turning into unstoppable scorers at the same time still feels unreal.
Don’t besmirch the name of the legendary Corey Brewer. The guy scored 51 points once upon a time.
Against the Rockets, no less.
That comeback still feels impossible every time I think about who led it.
It’s Doc Rivers why am I not surprised
People don’t realize how dominate the Clippers looked after game 4. First Spurs in 7 then destroying the Rockets without CP3 for games 1-2.
This was their best shot. After game 4, the takes on here were that they look like they can beat the Warriors.
Then…. this.
Fun fact: if Paul isn’t hurt, Clippers take game 2 with ease and it ends in a sweep.
Hey Man I was just trying to enjoy my day.
Why the violence?
Back then a 12-point lead in the 4th Q of a playoff game seemed like a big lead. Lol
Man Josh Smith was so fun. Dumb, but fun.
I had him on fantasy basketball team when he was on the Hawks and he’d kill me in some categories but absolutely carry me in others.
Another infinity stone on Doc’s choke gauntlet
I see Corey Brewer, I know all is good
Corey Brewer was that days Andrew Wiggins.
On any given day he could be the best player on your team… But you wouldn’t know until the game was over.
This is why playoff basketball is so special because heroes can come from anywhere.
Sometimes the most unforgettable playoff moments come from the players you least expect.
What a fun ass game led by two players you would have never guessed
That fourth quarter is proof that playoff basketball can turn the most unlikely players into legends.
Every time someone says a game is over I think about this comeback.
This is one of those games every NBA fan should watch at least once.
The Clippers had that series in their hands until basketball decided to get chaotic.
As a Timberwolves fan, I knew my boy Corey could do this and it was awesome live ✊🏽
It wasn’t that they came back or even that they won. That was bad enough. It was that a 91-100 game with seven minutes left in the fourth quarter ended as a 119-107 game. Sucked the life right out of that team.
That fourth quarter is still one of the craziest reminders that no playoff lead is ever truly safe.
CP3 knocking down that last 3 is hilariously on brand
holy AI, what is up with the bot ass comments
Picking the Clippers as a child has been one of the single most unrewarding choices I have ever made.
Clippers signed Smith that offseason only for him to be washed and get traded back to the Rockets lmaoo
Wasn’t this the year that fans heavily disliked when Josh Smith would chuck 3s?
Josh smith in theory should be such a good player.
Give me kyrie over this choke artist CP3 any day
Probably the worst of doc rivers infamous chokes
Watching Josh Smith it really feels like they used shock therapy to get him to stop taking long twos. You can see him so desperately trying to pull up but some phantom force makes him either step back behind the 3pt line or drive to the hole
Worse day of my life
Josh smifff and chieknlega brewer
should’ve folded the Clippers and sent them to Seattle after this performance
One the greatest fames of my life.
Jon Barry and crew gushed about the Clippers non-stop that whole series and couldn’t hide their excitement that they were advancing. Spent the third quarter breaking down the next round for them.
After the game they all looked like they were asked to shoot their own dog. They were so depressed wrapping up that game. It was glorious.
