Trae’s offensive game actually got more narrow, he started to drop his shooting % and never improved anything

Morant was explosive. Had some good playmaking and he even got better at it, but his shooting never got better and started breaking down. So he wasn’t as explosive or aggressive pressuring the rim.

Shai improved almost everywhere. Back in the day if Shai had half the improvement and Ja didn’t have any of the injuries and starter shooting at 35% he could realistically be a much better PG, or of Trae would even keep his shooting splits the same, maybe get to the rim once every 20 possessions and decided to one day lay a screen off ball, he might be the best

I think it’s more of just a reminder that players career trajectories can change very severely, very quickly. A lot of people look at players with confidence of where their careers while go when it’s not often so obvious
