Yeah, there was one play where Thiero was driving and Mara literally backed up in fear and looked terrified to even make contact with him. First time watching him play and he stood out for all the wrong reasons.

I’m assuming some of it was just a bad game but I was shocked watching this one. I watched Morez Johnson the other night and watch Yaxel play against the Lakers in the California Classic. They both look completely NBA ready.

Mara is so incredibly passive it is almost unbelievable. The Lakers SL team doesn’t have a single actual center on the roster. Mara refused to look at the rim. They weren’t even doubling him. Even on switches vs guards, he only looked to pass and never looked at the rim.

Dude’s motor just felt so low. Luckily he went to OKC. They can take their time with him and really bring him along the way they want.

He wants to pass more, and his instincts are good. But he needs to be aggressive in attacking the basket

I never understood the Mara hype. Yes he’s 7’3, but dude is skinnier AND slower than Zach Edey. I’d kinda get it if he was a one and done, but dude was a junior coming into the draft. Just a baffling pick by Sam Presti

Didnt the draft him to be a third stringish center this year, Ihart and Sorber I feel like were always going to start and Chet will still play Center sometimes in small ball.

Would still be nice to get him though. Why can’t we have two nice things at home?😂
