Seems like media literacy as a whole has gone down drastically the past couple of decades. With short form videos replacing articles and actual news reports peopleās brains are wired differently now with regards to information sharing.

We don’t actually need this kind of update, but look at all the conversation and clicks it generates. People are mad he’s not being definitive but us engaging with this post is the reason we get these non-definitive intermediate statements in the first place.

I agree with you 100%. I think a lot of it stems with how media companies blur the line between reporting and analysis, and also between reporters and analysts. It also doesnāt help when some guys like Lowe who are ostensibly analysts also report news on occasion.
Also the nba largely works by some people feeding information and later down the line use the favor to get some information. Agents do this to boost their players favor and teams do it so whyās it hard to believe people are actually getting inside scoops

Itās obviously wishful thinking but this is the first offseason heās had not recovering from a major injury in a long time. Can use his time to work on conditioning and maintenance rather than recovery.
Play him ~40 games and keep him fresh would be the best outcome
Embiid does show up to play for playoff games tho. Most of his rest is in the regular season.
Minnesota is a better roster fit than Philly with better depth and even with Lamelo’s injury concerns Embiid’s are worse. Even if Lamelo gets injured, we’ve already proven that we can be successful with this core* even without a true PG, and Lebron himself could help supplement that point role. If/when Embiid gets injured, the 6ers are cooked. The only real knock is a slightly harder path that may mean facing OKC and/or the Spurs en route to the finals, but if you’re so scared of these teams that you need to dodge them then you should give up on competing in general because you’re going to see them in the finals regardless.
*Lebron would effectively be replacing Randle/Reid at the 4, but he’s a far better overall player so it’s an upgrade to the position in that regard.
But if Father Time catches up a bit, and embiid is hurt and a few things go wrong, and the Philly folks would boo the shit out of him even as home town fans

He honestly did not look great before that stretch. His handles were off and was making a lot of really bad passes that led to turnovers. He looked great as the third option where he was mostly just finishing plays and not having to dribble or pass. Maybe taking the load off of him during that run kept him fresh and allowed him to ramp it up in the playoffs.

I think that could play to our advantage. It was a mistake by Pat but it was a mistake that came from his drive to win and for the players to try their best. LeBron is leaving the Lakers because he miss that drive, he wants to win. So if Pat own his mistake, but shows that he still has that drive and desire, I think that could go well with LeBron.
