In 2016 the Spurs went 40-1 at home in Tim Duncan’s final year, achieving a franchise record of 67-15
The only loss that they had at home was when the Golden State Warriors beat them on April 10th for their 72nd win.
In the playoffs they swept the Grizzlies, then lost 2-4 to OKC where LeMarcus Aldridge in a series averaged 26 points, and where both Russ and KD shot below 30% from 3.
Ngl I didn’t mean to turn this into a 2016 OKC post but if they beat the warriors they would’ve won against both the 67 win spurs and the 73 win warriors, that’s insane.
But anyways, 2016 was a hell of a year.
