It’s certainly not appealing on paper but I see the vision with all the centers they picked up and I doubt Mo Bamba will see much time on the floor if last year was any indication. Will Hardy will have a lot of options to play around with to best maximize this roster, it’s gonna be fun (and likely frustrating) to watch in real time.

Maybe. For what it’s worth, the current projected starting lineup for the Jazz has not played much basketball together so while there is hope for a great basketball team, we don’t know how well they will actually play.
If you’re wanting a more detailed answer from me, I think Jazz would have a higher floor but a more limited ceiling with Kessler being brought back. The ceiling gets limited because paying Kessler a large contract then needing to pay Keyonte soon enough would’ve hindered them eventually. Maybe a max of 2 years with the current squad before needing to significantly retool the team. When you don’t have an idea of how they even play together, it might be a big risk.
While the floor is lower on paper, I think this gives Will Hardy a ton of flexibility on the court. Nurk was such a complimentary big to play with Keyonte and Lauri, something that maybe Kessler would never have enough skill for. Add Darryn to the mix and it’s gonna be even better. JJJ will cover for his defensive liabilities while Nurk covers for his rebounding.
And guess what, you won’t feel obligated to force your 30 million dollar center to start, you can move him to the bench depending on the lineup. You now open up more minutes for Ace. Hayes is gonna be a good enough rim roller for back up minutes. It’s gonna be okay, they are not expecting to compete for a championship yet.

Lots of people don’t realize Nurk had a pretty good season, and is still a starter quality center. And while he’s not anywhere near the rim protector Kessler is, he’s much better on offense.
The 2 or 3 games the Jazz had with Lauri JJJ and Nurk starting the team looked fantastic. Add Key and DP and a very deep bench (beyond the center spot) and a very creative coach in Hardy and the fans are rightly very excited for the coming season.
Nurkic is a triple double machine… for the one game a week he can play.
