This “I want to stay, depends if the team wants to keep me” is pretty much exactly what Giannis had been saying since like 2018. Everybody was telling us he was for sure out because of it, with bonus smugness now he’s actually been traded 8 years and several extensions later.
Granted Jokic has also been more blunt with “Yeah I’ll be here forever” type statements, which Giannis wasn’t.
