That time Tracy McGrady scored 13 points in 33 seconds | SportsCenter | ESPN Archives
Imagine if Tmac never got injured.
Imagine if he stayed.
Imagine if he left me alone from the jump
imagine all the people
What are you even talking about
what are YOU even talking about
STAYTM3C
Imagine if had any heart
Once in a lifetime sporting moment. If anybody ever does this again while I’m still breathing, I’ll be surprised.
Sga 14 point play
Huh
Luka 60 piece against the Knicks had similar vibes
This the reason I can’t sim to end w/ vc on 2k in the 3rd quarter
I watched this live. Great memory. I used to think he had a beautiful jumper but lol holy shit how times change.
I could’ve saw this live but I turned it off shortly before. This game is the reason I never turn off games before the result is certain.
Well he had a beautiful jumper.
A lot of arm slinging. Not exactly how you would teach it these days.
Can’t believe I watched this on tv as it happened. Also can’t believe every time this pops up I still watch it in full
Imagine if you left 5 mins early and turned the radio on. “Da fuuu, did we go to the same game brah?!”
13 in 33 is an interesting case of stars aligning. And i would argue it doesn’t represent true T-Mac.
Historically bad stamina always led T-Mac to nosediving 4th quarter perfomances especially in the playoffs. Career playoffs %fg in the first quarter - 44%. Career playoffs %fg in the 4th quarter - 34%.
And you can’t really hope someone with a tall height (for his position), scoliosis and high energy consumption (Orlando’s T-MAC is ball hog of ball hogs, Houston’s - better but not by much) would have had a long career without injuries because injuries are part of the game with that body + that playstyle. His every jumper was beautiful (i would say aesthetically it’s still the most beautiful jumper of all the players i’ve seen), but also moved him closer to ruin.
Either way, he was an absolute monster during his Orlando years.
His whole career stems off this moment
downvoted, everytime someone sees this for the first time they get tricked into thinking he was some kind of amazing player when he was pretty mediocre.
Mediocre??? His career was plagued by injuries, but TMac was a certified baller. He’s also in the fuckin HoF lol
Pretty mediocre…?
there’s like 30 players in the league right now better than him
Prime T-Mac was a 32 PPG scoring champion with 6.5 rebounds and 5.5 assists, AND he was All-NBA First Team in that era.
30?!!
which was also coincidentally an era with some of the best nba players ever. imagine being the scoring leader at the time only for people to say it was no big deal 20 years after the fact. wild
You absolute clown.
your all time great was an inefficient chucker who blew a 3-1 lead and never made it out of the first round in his whole career.
Technically he made it to the finals with the Spurs
even if you want to call him “mediocre among hall of famers” he still had two consecutive scoring titles in an era with some of the most dominant nba players of all time in their prime. he was electric. sorry he didn’t win enough rings for you
prime tmac was such a beast he led his team to… 21 wins.
