[Highlights] NBA scoring leader Luka Doncic contested shot-making compilation
Best difficult shot maker in the nba
it’s him, Steph, Brunson, Kyrie, SGA and LeBron (in his prime).
Jokic??
I upvoted you. But against Minnesota, he couldn’t hit much when heavily defended. He still got his numbers, but he was fairly contained.
Jamal Murray???
Iguodala???
Nah I love Lebron but as a difficult shot maker, he’s not at the level of the guys you mentioned. I’d put KD over Lebron as a difficult shot maker.
I mean if we’re counting LeBron in his prime, he’s comfortably better than basically all of those dudes
Kyrie is the best difficult shot maker lol. Luka would be if he has abit more athleticism.
Wouldn’t that make them easier?
Shots are less difficult when you’re more athletic
Brunson would like to have a word
It’s an interesting choice because Luka’s size allows for a bigger scope of tougher shots, but Brunson’s size means he needs to be that much better to make the ones he takes.
The shot he makes for his size is amazing
He was able to do what the entire OKC team couldnt do which was drive to the basket
Yeah, he’d like to say “nahhh”.
Literally https://youtube.com/shorts/rBHcQqeSsP0
The more contested his shots are, the more likely it goes in.
Just leave him open and he’ll pass it up /s
the JR Smith special
I wouldnt even know how to look this up but it truly seems like the less open and more “off balance” he is the better the odds that he makes it. I would always assume he’s going to miss if he’s wide open.
Mamba mentality
Really hope he will get a ring. I have been watching him since he was a rookie, and boy was he fun to watch.
Been watching him since I saw him play live during Eurobasket 2017. He was 18 years old already dominating the court. Instantly became his fan.
My first NBA video was his rookie highlight and I remembered saying to myself: “How TF did he do it?” 7 years passed. Time sure flies.
Yeah for me he’s the reason I started watching NBA again after a 5 year hiatus.
Being a Mavs fan during dirks late years and Luka were rough man
Same, but mine was closer to a 20 year break. I stopped paying attention to the league after Reggie retired, but in May 2023 I signed up at a new gym and my first day there, some pudgy 10 year old why I looked like Luka DON-itch (spelled as pronounced). Had no idea who he was, so I went home and Googled it and thought he was awesome. And I agree with the kid that we look similar (white dudes with dark hair, similar haircut and short beards).
Same.
Usually the best do, guess we will see.
Confirmation bias imo. We see certain players as the best partially because they won ring(s). Barkley comes to mind. Keeps Mr. 13 year old out of top 15 discussions though so it ain’t all bad.
There’s a lot of skill and flaw and luck and unluckiness sorrounding him. It’s fun. Some people are dead sure he’s peaked already and will never get a ring, but it would be so cool if he ended up being the first star to get back-to-back rings in the modern parity era.
He won’t
Not on the Lakers, tho.
Top 5 scorer to ever play in the NBA and one of the few stars who is a guaranteed playoff riser in the league of MJ and Shaq
if you combine passing and scoring i think it’s just luka lebron jokic and that’s it, no one else does both at such a high level
Jordan averaged 11 assists in the 1991 finals and 35⁄8 in the playoffs from 88-93(his peak)
I think he is up there with them as a offensive engine in his peak
steph is included, his creates advantages without assists. Warriors were legit known for getting the most open dunks since they forget about everyone but steph. the list is luka, lebron, jokic, steph, jordan, in no particular order
who is a guaranteed playoff riser in the league of MJ and Shaq
LMFAO guy with 0 rings is in the league of a guy with 6 rings as a playoff riser. Whatever you say
I’m European and I’ve never seen a live NBA game, but last year I went to Riga and watched a bunch of Eurobasket games, one of which was Slovenia vs Italy where Luka put up 22 points in the first quarter. That was absolutely incredible to watch
Ye watched luka put up 22 or smtn likr that in first half vs latvia in a friendly brfore getting injured by a teammate he is 1 crazy mofo
I saw Luka the day after his 21st birthday vs. Miami in Miami and this MFer was huffing and grabbing his shorts bent over the entire game lol
All they need is a Swiss army knife PF to be title contenders.
They need defense and depth to be title contenders. Spurs and OKC would have a field day with them. I’d put them below the wolves and nuggets tier even until they get more defense.
Defense didn’t win the Spurs the chip. And it barely beat a Thunder team without their second best player. And their 3rd best player shitting the bed.
Pacers pushed the Thunder to 7 with a middle of the pack D.
Yeah I think they’re about 3 pieces away. They’ve got Luka, Reaves, Kessler, Grimes, Mamu, Sexton as their only quality players right now, if they add someone like Kuminga they’d still need a 3 and D wing and a backup center, preferably 1 more depth piece behind them
I’m sorry, but we’re taking Kuminga to pair with Andre Drummond.
Maybe the sum of their parts = Mitchell Robinson :’(
Made me smile
Best offensive player in the league, and it’s really actually close.
Did Nikola Jokic die last night and the news hasn’t broken yet??
Happy to report he is alive and well.
defenders just gotta hope he misses on those stepbacks
the way he creates space on stepbacks is just unfair. defenders are right there and it doesnt even matter lol
The sound of his shots
Best offensive player in the sport
He’s just like me… he’s just making them at a higher rate!
Is Luka better than Podz?
Who even is?
Let’s not go crazy here.
They gave this man a Center. Thank you Jazz
Dude is going to have a career year next season. I don’t know if they’ll win a championship, but without LeBron, he’s going to have more touches. And he’s going to be hungry.
Are you trying to say Lebron took away touches from Luka? Luka this past year literally had the highest USG% of his career. He also averaged the second highest FGA of his career this past year. If anything, he needs to learn how to play off ball and stop being so ball dominant.
insane that all of these are in the lakers only
Elite shot creator and shot maker. He’s so insanely gifted offensively that 28 a game is a down season for Luka. Then you add his elite playmaking ability and passing vision? His 2023⁄24 season where he averaged 34/10/9 is still one of the greatest offensive seasons ever. Hope this guy stays healthy man he’s a special talent🙏🏾.
The more difficult it is the easier he makes it look kinda crazy
I hope Luka wins a chip soon
And somehow misses open shots but makes all the difficult, impossible shots
A lot more fun to watch when it’s not against your team in the western conference finals in 2024
beautiful
Can this season start already? It feels like it’s been forever
It hasn’t even been a month lmfao.
And I’ve been sad ever since lol
If I was guarding him in 2K…I would 100% say the game is cheating and turn it off…lol
B-b-but he’s white!!!
No one is better but I still feel like his shot selection could be better
Hospital scoring title 🏥
Turning into the Mike Trout of basketball.
That’d be Russ
Ill-advised shot making compilation
47.6⁄36.6⁄78
Larry Bird he ain’t, and on top of that he’s a traffic cone
Edit: some coward responded to me that Bird was a poor playoff shooter and deleted their comment while I was writing this reply:
Larry never shot below 40% in the finals. He averaged around 45%. His worst finals was 81 when he shot 42% but averaged 15.3 boards per game.
But it was the same Larry who founded the 50/40/90 club while averaging 10 boards his entire career.
Luka pales in comparison to Bird, but the guy who really looks like a complete fraud next to Larry Bird (or Magic Johnson) is Kobe Bryant
thanks for your insights bot
Luka is a generational bum. As a Celtics fan I can’t quite feel bad for LA fans but man this is a tragic situation for you.
hey big dawg you can be critical of luka and his playing style but by calling him a generational bum you just out yourself as an irrational hater
keep having fun in your wet dreams about larry bird ig
He made it to one finals and got smoked by Tatum and brown and a cardiac crew and part time Porzingis
dissing your own championship team to take a dig at luka. i’m sorry for underestimating your hating abilities.
Ah, Boston and assessment using stats. Name a better duo.
I really think you LA fans need to understand when it’s time to be quiet. Your team is dead for the foreseeable future.
Please go on mister first round exit that improved by *checks notes* trading a finals MVP for “Playoff P.”
Brown was a liability. Our management realized it and addressed it. We are moving on without him.
Luka is also a liability. Your ownership embraced it and is letting it strangle you
Since Boston loves analytics: Luka is 6th in EPM (difference between 6th and 7th is the same as between 1st and 6th, no Celtics in the top 10 ouch) and in DARKO (difference to the next guy Tatum is the difference between 6th and 2nd) Yikes. What makes him fun is hes competing at the top of the analytics while clipfarming circus shots and passes which the guys above him are not doing.
Did you miss the RAPM post yesterday? Top 15 all time peaks since 1997?
LeBron is number 1, Joker 2, Tatum is 22, doncic? 92
The results don’t lie
For the volume that effencicy is incredible. His peak year was 24 with 48-38-78.
He takes a 1000 of these and makes like 10 lol. The only reason other players domt have compilations like this is because they are smart and know to take good shots over clip farming.
He shot 48% from the field last year. 1% on difficult shots seems unlikely.
F tier ragebait. Too obvious.
I’m sure Luka is thinking about Clip farming while hooping & leading the league in scoring.
First clip got your panties in a bunch eh? That was my favorite game winner last season
they lied as naturally as they breathed
He takes a 1000 of these and makes like 10 lol
47.6% FG in 2016.
If he takes 1000, its good that he made 476.
He had 2143 points in 2026. Pretty nice i’d say.
