[Highlight] Cameron Boozer finds Olivier-Maxence Prosper for the corner 3.
Boozer’s 4th assist of the 1st half
every time this dude touches the ball he does the right thing
Same thing at Duke
There’s a reason that even tho a lot of scouts didn’t have Boozer #1, those same scouts still acknowledged he’s the best player of all the top picks rn. His IQ is insane
He has insane processing speed.
You have an insane ping
However many points we allow due to his defensive limitations, it’s hard to imagine they won’t be made up for on the other end of the court.
Im so psyched to see him develop.
wait how does he get so many assists already
lightskin jokic
Memphis better not fuck it up this time
Though it was Jas fault
Injuries more than anything
I mean injuries and whiffing on draft picks and trades is what did us in when Ja, Jaren, and Bane were at their peak. Marcus smart trade, ziaire williams, david roddy, laravia(turned out good after Kleinman decided not to offer him a contract), etc.
Of course, Ja deserves criticism for his antics.
Only really bad move Memphis made was getting rid of Brooks
The dillon brooks revisionism needs to stop he only got better because he left. He was the face of the Goddamn Shanghai Sharks until he ended up on his third team
I’m all aboard the booze cruise
RIP Stacey
Like they say, don’t snooze when it’s Booze
I’ve been on the Boozer train before, during, and after the draft.
Washington and ESPECIALLY Utah made a franchise-changing mistake.
one half of summer league basketball
Bruh cmon man it’s July
The whole point is to get very reactionary and delusional over 12 minutes vs g leaguers
and one full college season where boozer was the best player in the league.
they literally said they were on the boozer train pre draft
There’s loads of evidence their whole careers actually
Now they’re in the pros though
Nothing to suggest he won’t do the same thing in the pros
Correct but college and high school stats and tape barely matters anymore, especially to be making the claim from the original commenter
To claim they don’t matter is ridiculous how do you rate prospects then? He’s dominated at every level. Of course things could change in the pros but literally every indicator statistically says Booz is the best player in his class n I believe he will be
My point is that they’re no longer “prospects,” and the claim WSH and Utah made such big mistakes from a single clip and single assist is just nuts lmao.
It’s like seeing which team scores first in a game and prematurely declaring a winner from that one bucket
Well I’m not saying they made a mistake Aj and dp will be really good but Booz has bitl potential
Best in the league?
lotta people were saying this during the draft too, it’s not just a reaction to this game
Ok
It’s already clear from one half that everything he did in college will translate in the NBA.
You realize he’s not really playing against NBA players. This is a significant step down from college level defense being played. Not that he’s going to be bad, but this doesn’t really say anything.
Is he playing against a Real NBA team no.
Would a summer league team wipe the floor with a great college team 9 out of 10 times? yes don’t be absurd
This is why Kevin Knox is my goat
Idk man maybe it’s a hot take but I disagree. These teams get thrown together, barely played with each other, each player looking to make a name for themselves, and aren’t really playing defense. I’d take a well coached, and experienced playing together Michigan to play competitively with a lot of these summer league teams.
But also that’s why I specifically said defense, not overall talent level.
Hilarious comment at this stage, good bait
You aren’t wrong about Boozer, but you are underrating Peterson like crazy. Any of the 3 could become the best player from this draft and I wouldn’t be shocked.
Agreed. Personally did have Boozer as my #1 in the draft, but the difference between him, AJ, and Peterson in is relatively small. AJ and Darryn both also have all world talent and potential just like Cam, really couldn’t go wrong drafting the three in any order imo.
I mean I agree with the sentiment but you’re acting as if Peterson and Dybantsa are Bagley and Ayton.
Yikes
Domantas Sabonis is his floor
Handle and vision looking really nice for his size, damn
OMP makes threes?
His nickname is O-Max
thanks, I legit only know him from the fact he was the center Dallas drafted the year before Lively lol
He was actually drafted the same year as lively. Sacramento salary dumped Richaun Holmes and the 24th pick to Dallas and they picked him with that. Also I think he’s a power forward
Lmao now that you mention it, I do remember that salary dump trade.
He’s done a bit of everything this game, cross court passes, putbacks, hit a 3. The real deal
I’ve seen enough, he will be good
I’m watching and Boozer looks taller now than he did at Duke.
He was the youngest of the Top 3 and is still likely growing, his ceiling is insanely high compared to the others
Dawg he can be great but saying his ceiling is crazy high compared to Peterson is wild. I think it’s more likely Boozer ends up as an all star but Peterson has a higher ceiling
Boozer is younger, had better athletic stats at the Combine, and has consistently outperformed AJ and Peterson for years in terms of accolades and on the court success. His ceiling is absolutely way higher.
BEST PLAYER IN THE CLASS
I feel like he was the best player in the draft
boozer is a rich man’s banchero prove me wrong
OKC summer league team shooting 3-20 from downtown on debut.
It’s amazing how well these guys have adapted to thunder ball ❤️❤️
BOOSE CRUISE BOOZE CRUISE
This dude would have been insane on the Pacers
Omax still doing summer league in year 4? Yeah he’s done
