The Warriors have 69 million dollars tied to two players sitting out most of the year with knee injuries, and Porzingis has averaged 43 games a season the last 3 years. If Moody and Jimmy are there, he’s not going there, it’s just the reality of their injuries.
Joel Embiid has averaged THIRTY TWO games played the last 3 seasons, and the Sixers were a below average defensive team last year who just added Anfernee Simons, and Jaylen Brown to that. The Dean Wade edition is good, but their depth is questionable, their front court is questionable, their defense is questionable.
LaMelo has averaged 47 games played in the last 3 years, and he’s not going to live in Minnesota to try to compete for a championship given the other options available.
Cavs and Heat are the most likely by far, and if he decides to ring chance with an org he’s never been on its going to be the Nuggets or Spurs.

We’re obviously reluctant to throw away picks in general and take long term money on post Curry but still, what you’re describing is so clearly better than the current situation I don’t even know what the argument is. What other options do we have? We are not making the playoffs with Butler missing the first 50+ games unless Yaxel has a shocking rookie year or podz or gui takes a huge leap. And with the new tanking rules Butlers contract is a lot less movable unless a team wants to get off their own bigger/longer contract. Plus it’s a package. ADs contract would suck but if Lebrons is a discount that package ain’t bad.
