Mamu was never staying on the Raptors there wasn’t enough cap for him. The difference in mamu and norm is one is a high quality starter that has a complimentary skill set to most ball dominant stars. Mamu is a 6th man stretch 4 with not much standout qualities. His 3pt shooting isn’t even super reliable.

We made a huge effort to keep Wiggins but not Norm, and even if we don’t get Giannis, Norm probably isn’t back. Both sides were lukewarm about a reunion, because he and Herro can’t coexist and without the Giannis trade we almost 100% are stuck with Herro this year.

I see Bill’s reasoning, I just disagree with it because losing Norm wasn’t a cost of the trade, it was something that was happening anyway (like Mamu)
