Wizards fan and we LOVE Bagley and would absolutely take him back.

A great 3rd C to have on a contending team. He can play 15-20min in spot duty if one of the centers ahead of him miss time due to injury, but you don’t want to rely on him to be a consistent part of the rotation. Brings a lot of energy on the glass and is a decent screener and roller. That’s honestly about it. Has a limited offensive bag and isn’t a good defender.

Bagley was fun(from a wizards fan perspective) while we weren’t playing for wins, but due to him being a subpar defender, I didn’t want him back as a backup C while the goal moving forward is learning how to win games.

Yeah there is a lot of stigma behind him. I myself thought he was just another James Wiseman type of guy and on his way out of the league, but nope he is a hardworking guy that’s just too inconsistent on offense. I liked him for the small amount of time he was with us.

He was always solid. Didn’t develop like we hoped but still can be a ¹⁵⁄₇ player with starter minutes.

His early injuries and Luka being picked after him obviously changed the conversation but he’s still a solid player

He’s a solid player that can be an important part of a winning team. He’s just never going to be a 2nd pick level player and he will always be judged by that unfortunately

He’s a solid backup big and I enjoyed his minutes for the most part. If he was a late FRP or SRP, he’d have a much better reputation in the league.

He learned the NBA was a business early on in his career and shoved away his ego.

Mavs fan here who had Bagley as Sarr’s handcuff in fantasy for half the season:

• With the Mavs, he’s a solid backup. I would have loved to have him back, but the Mavs got Aldama, shutting the door for that option.

• Bagley can also put up the occasional 20-10 numbers when your starting center is out, which happened a lot whenever Sarr was out / forced to sit.

I was pleasantly surprised by Bags and wanted him back. Good rebounder, high motor, could roll and finish plays, has a bit of floor spacing ability, and wasn’t bad on defense despite not being a rim protector.

He’s one of the underrated FAs in the class and should have gone a lot earlier than most bigs like Hayes, Z. Collins, DAJ, Nurk, heck even over Vooch.

Obviously never lived up to his full potential but he’s a perfectly serviceable backup. More or less exactly what the Nuggets need.

I really wanted him back. For a back up center he does his job and doesn’t try to do too much

If he were anything, he wouldn’t be a vet min, especially for a center. Centers get big deals for being mediocre. He is a decent depth guy though to fill a roster out.
