He definitely does. The people saying this is like the usual “Jokic/Luka lost weight this time I swear!” are wrong, he’s looking visibly skinnier than he’s been in years. That practice video with the tight shirt shows it really well.
To be honest, if I had to guess he’s been gearing up towards a change like this for a while, just hasn’t really been able to fully complete his weight loss due to injuries during the season.
i also think as he gets older, it’s clear he still wants to play for a long time and one of the ways to do that is by cutting more weight than u did in your physical prime. Just less stress of the joints. So it’s great to see him “stay” lean rather than cut towards the beginning and even during the season.
Basketball is just a job. This man lives his life the way he wants to once the job is done.
