[Highlight] Jayson Tatum scores a Game 7 record 51 points to eliminate Philadelphia
6th best player on the Celtics
Will be spooky once he’s old enough to rent a car.
In all seriousness, it will be a joy to watch Tatum and Edwards be the engines for Team USA.
The year is 2028, somehow Tatum is still on the bench while Melo and Vince Carter are somehow starting
Who said Tatum will be an engine?
connor gillespie erasure
At least he’s not 7th best
The Michael Jordan of Tobias Harris’
Jayson: “Deuce. Buddy, come here, Daddy has to tell you something”
Deuce: “what is it dad is it a ice cweam twip”
Jayson: “No buddy. I’m sorry. Uncle Jay.. Uncle Jaylen got traded.”
Deuce: *runs off in tears* “NOOO UNCLE JAYWEN GOT TWADED”
They need to lock that dude up who tweeted that, no trial or anything just throw away the key.
My favorite is the LaMelo version:
Lamelo: “LaOne. Buddy, come here, Daddy has to tell you something”
LaOne: “what is it dad is it a woad twip”
Lamelo: “No buddy. I’m sorry. I got traded. Uncle Kon.. Uncle Coby we won’t see them anymore.”
LaOne: *runs off in tears* “NOOO PAPA GOT TWADED”
LaOne is a crazy name to process…
someone tweeted that shit?
I saw that and my first thought was “oh come on man we do not need this right now” 😂
This offseason is going to take years off my life
I will never not trust in Brad it’ll all be ok as long as his steady hand is in the wheel 🙏
I thought I could come here to escape that copypasta
For the people that think JB is better than JT, I always point to moments like this compared to this past postseason for Boston: Tatum would not have lost the game 7 a couple of months ago like how JB lost.
He’s absolutely a better player, but I think the comparisons hurt them both. A lot of people will only compliment one as a means of tearing down the other.
Yeah when Jaylen Brown won FMVP did people start praising him for it? No they used to talk about how Jayson isn’t even the best player on his team, can’t even win FMVP.
The most praise I’ve heard for Jaylen being a FMVP has been this summer by people going “You can’t have a FMVP in trade talks, it’s disrespectful”
Yet those same people would call you an idiot if you thought he should have been top 5 in MVP votes or 1st team all NBA this year
I’ve done my fair share of hate watching the Celtics. JT is the better player, but has higher highs and lower lows compared to JB, whereas JB seems to be more consistent.
This isn’t even really the case. People just don’t notice or talk about JBs lows the same way, since he doesn’t have the same expectations
Tatum has pretty much been the best player on the court in every series that he’s played. Only exception is the warriors series. This holds true even across wins.
Jaylen brown (in our losses) has generally played worse than role guys like PG, Caleb Martin, etc.
Have no clue where the inconsistency narrative comes from, Tatum shoots sub-50% ts roughly the same amount as any non-Steph/KD/Lebron/giannis star (actually less than guys like Luka), and generally offers more in terms of non-scoring impact than any player in the league barring giannis/bron.
The Celtics are going to be so much better when they ship Brown’s dumbass outta there.
JT is an underrated playoff riser
It sucks how he absolutely was seen a playoff riser that was known to drop BOMBS in the playoffs, but the year they won a ring his finals performance wasnt nearly as good
And it wasnt even bad, his shooting just dipped
And he turned up his playmaking
Abd tbh the conversation around being bad was because JB won the EFMVP so the media immediately turned to “JB>JT coz JT can’t shoot now”
And his defense was unreal. Those minutes at the 5 saved that series imo.
his finals performance wasnt good in 2022 either
He’d usually start games off fairly hot and cool down due to fatigue from defending up 2 positions.
he absolutely was seen a playoff riser
He absolutely wasn’t though.
He has a habit of playing with his food and almost every year we’d see the same situation play out.
Tatum would have a disappointing G2 in the 1st round, while someone like Anthony Edwards drops +40.
Fans would come out of the woodwork talking about Tatum being a choker who doesn’t rise to the occasion. Then he’d have a historic G6/G7 performance against a key rival.
You’d think that would shut people up but the next year we’d be back to calling him a choker for having a quiet G1 of the 2nd round.
Unless he’s guarded by All Star Andrew Wiggins
correction: All Star Starter* Andrew Wiggins
He was also a 22 year old leading his team in the finals. That’s a shit ton of pressure for a young guy. Even Wemby wasn’t great in that situation.
After facing the stacked nets with KD harden and Kyrie, the Giannis bucks who were just off a championship, and Jimmy butler heat. And an injured shoulder
JayPhilly in practice
Tatum playing with his food
same animal, different beast
And he’s just 19 years old
Plenty more to come!
Jaylen Brown in shambles
Why we posting this? It wasn’t even from last season. Reminder they were up 3-1!
