I can’t come up with a way for these two teams to make a trade with each other that results in them feeling better about their respective odds, other than the bonus of ‘Well, at least this will be different.’ Fascinating watching teams that aren’t quite contenders swapping players with the hopes that a different combo unlocks a pathway. It’s like they have the scrabble pieces XBVWND and PKLWNV and they’re trying to swap letters to be able to form a word.

if we traded JB for Murray I would question Brad’s ability as a GM, he does not fix anything for us and would be a downgrade

holy shit, Jaylen Brown and Jokic is definitely the one combo i really want to see in the NBA. this would be my favorite team to watch next year.

I just want to keep him. i think the salary stuff is overblown if you think your FO can get the marginal pieces. I think our FO can. Even if you think the league was dogging it last year, we would still be a team above .500 without Tatum.

I never thought of Denver but they do have pieces Boston could want.

They would push for either Murray or Gordon back as the big piece and filler players like Braun, Johnson, Nnaji, or Strawther and draft compensation.

If Boston wants a star back for Brown then Denver could be their best shot now after missing on Giannis.

Absolutely the fuck not. Brown is a great player, but we’d have to give up either Jamal Murray or AG + Cam Johnson. So we either lose our best shooter, best ball handler, and 2nd best playmaker, or we lose 2 starting wings, one of whom is possibly the best role player in the league, on a team that already lacks depth. This would be a disaster of a trade for Denver.

I really don’t understand why they are trying to trade him. They aren’t getting a player of his caliber back and they won with jt and him already. I think they should run it back at least a year. I get the salary thing, but still don’t think it’s worth it.
