IMO the 2014 was more impressive in a way, because he was like the 4th option on the team (if that), and was primarily a defensive role player. That run was a coming out party for him, and he managed to impress so much that he got the FMVP nod over some legendary teammates.

For real, Siakam averaged like 20/7/4 on good splits in that 2019 Finals and had that huge run in Game 1 to seal it. FVV getting the vote was wild but at least Siakam had a legit case if Kawhi wasn’t gonna get it unanimous.

He has a amazing game 1 and good game 6. He was pretty average in between.

Kawhi carried us through Philly and led us past thr Bucks but the finals was a team effort with everyone taking turns being good

I mean obviously Kawhi is the FMVP pick from that series, but Van Fleet played awesome in that series. His offense was super solid and he also played some the best defense we’ve seen on Steph. I feel like that’s been lost to time a little as the narrative has become more and more that Kawhi dragged a garbage team.
