Eh, I can speak to the internet one– I just traveled to a country where I had 3G the whole time and it was actually the most peace I’ve felt in a long time. Being forced to disconnect and just be present, and mostly outside, was incredible. I genuinely think most of us would be better off without internet. Nothing on here is additive to our mental health, well-being, etc. Mostly the opposite.
Thats what I do for vacations in the nature and stuff and it is awesome.
But its borderline impossible to be a part of society these days without internet. You could scrape by without social media, but without internet youre cooked.
As to your point about us being better off I agree 100%. Technology ran laps around evolution speed wise and now we have been animals that hunt and gather for 14-20 hours a week and spend the rest socialising and doing arts and crafts for about 300,000 years and we left that 12,000 years ago for agriculture and society. Which in turn made humans shorter, have less healthy teeth, physical and mental health for the benefit of safety allowing us to actually die of old age and stuff.
Basically were made to hunt and gather and socialise, but are forced to sit infrint of screens. A lot of current mental health issues like OCD and ADHD mightve been actual advantages back then too instead of burdens.
You can do so much more than just scrape by without social media. Literally just delete it today and never have an issue

Remarkably it seems like Wemby still kind of does semi-normal things, like when he sat in the NYC park drawing before the finals game. Videos of him just out grocery shopping in San Antonio and such. Or he at least tries to, more than a lot of famous athletes.
But yeah, I can’t imagine being this tall, honestly seems like it would be hellish. Add on top that he’s soon to be one of the most famous people in the world, if not already there. There is literally no escape for him.

San Antonio is fairly chill about the Spurs. When I still lived there, a friend and I were shopping at the Quarry and when we parked there was the BIGGEST jacked up truck I had ever seen – and this is Texas, the land of big-ass, jacked up trucks. We were both like “omg who on god’s green earth needs a truck THAT freaking big?” And then one of the Spurs walked out of P.F. Chang’s with some friends and headed for that very truck and we were like “Oh, okay, fair, totally fair”.
