Chicago Bulls forward Caleb Wilson’s live reaction to Jalen Brunson game 1
Ok, I’m rooting for this kid now
He legit looks like 16
You should see Giannis when he was that age (and there are some people that make the Giannis comparisons)
its crazy that jayson tatum is 19
Future Knick
Hey man
Nah I’m kidding, his energy reminds me of Kenny Beecham, which makes him perfect for the Bulls
…for now.
when hes in his prime u guys will be ass again
Don’t worry, in about 5 years he’ll beat an aging Knicks team in the second round who then will hand the “franchise redemption baton” off the Chicago to revitalize their franchise next.
No, I want them to be good still so the top 5 pick from North Carolina can do more damage
What? It’s fate
Charles Oakley
Eddy Curry
Tyson Chandler
Joakim Noah
Derrick Rose
not this guy
Get him to the Garden asap
This is wholesome, good off-season content
Much preferred to Shams and aggregator slop
Stuff like this just reminds me that they’re just kids
Seems to really love the game too, and doesn’t come with that nonchalant attitude. It’s refreshing to see.
Don’t know shit about this guy but he seems so unafraid of letting out his emotions. Some of these guys getting into the NBA, NFL try so hard to play it “cool” and buttoned up.
He’s just seems like a kid who genuinely loves the game.
he seems like a pure dude. I was reading an article and he said he wants to learn Fleetwood Mac’s ‘The Chain’ on guitar cause it has an “interesting chorus”. He’s right and I love him for that lol
I love this guy already
Rooting for the Bulls to figure this out now haha
Shamet content >>> Shams content
Alright kid now go guard him. What an unreal feeling it must be to step on the floor as a rookie
Crazy thing is they did a terrific job of defending him
Took Brunson like 3.5 games to get going. They really did well on him
honestly Brunson is just built different, no joke. Being a ‘small’ guard carrying the entire offense in regular season and playoffs for the last 4 years including with Thibs, I thought he would start breaking down by now.
Even with that aside, his footwork and skill is so good it really doesn’t matter who you put on him, big or small, he will score on you.
He had some good looks, just missing shots he normally would make
Eh Brunson shot 44/60/88 in game 3, it was really just the first two games.
He had Covid. Was going around the city at the time. Few days after the ECF he had that cough going during an interview. Those Spurs guards are demons on defense. Wembanyama tries to do way too much and tires himself out, fortunately
there is no fucking shot he had covid LMAO
Because they treated him like Giannis.
That’s why every other Knick was able to shoot above expectation.
Deserved FMVP.
I agree. JB is nice.
We’re talking about Brunson and not future Atlanta Hawk Jaylen Brown, right? 😉
Future Hornet
he got a fan in me for life icl
Him, boozer and Peterson are a lot more likable than aj
AJ seems chill, just like…professionally managed to the point of seeming to not have much personality but probably is a good kid IRL.
Seeing the words “Chicago Bulls Forward Caleb Wilson” still feels unreal. If you would’ve told me that we managed to land this kid prior to the lottery, I would have called you a liar. Can’t wait to see him in action. I love his mentality.
As a UNC fan, he’s an absolute dog, y’all got a cornerstone piece to build around
I put those words in for you sweetie
might be the beginning of your turnaround tbh.
God, please. A lot needs to happen for that to really be true. Claxton needs to play like he did before last season, Buzelis needs to continue to improve as a player (fringe All-Star level), Wilson needs to live up to the hype, and we need to keep Patrick Williams on the bench and not feel obligated to play him. I would feel comfortable if at least some of those things happen.
Nah - realistically we need to competitively suck for at least another year or two and then we will be good. Need a spurs like draft run to fully turn it around.
Realistically yeah. We need the team to build itself up. We’re going to have growing pains for a bit. But it would be nice to move closer in that direction.
Agreed - it would be great just to see the arrow pointing up for the first time in a while.
He’s gonna be great! Hope he dominates with you guys! Just not when you play the Knicks
Even if we don’t do too good next season I’m hyped
Always funny to watch the Spurs fan with the blue shirt in the back left. Like a “tough way to lose, but damn that was a cold shot”kind of feeling.
he on the lovewatch after this
We are all Caleb Wilson FC now
This is so wholesome
Bulls got a good one
I don’t think there’s anyone in the world watching live who wasn’t like wtf when he took that shot and then wtf x2 when that shot went in
In the modern NBA you see stars routinely pass themselves out of situations like that (SGA did it a ton against Wemby) and that makes sense, but damn is the game beautiful when you see some old fashioned hero ball
Lmfaoooooo this is too real! Brunson had this effect on so many people. One of the best clutch players I’ve ever seen.
as a Knicks fan this clip lives rent free in my head lol. seeing other players react like that to Brunson just hits different
The 4th overall pick in a great draft fanboying over Brunson, suppose he has that effect on people
He’s one of the most clutch players I’ve ever seen, feels like if the opponent lets him touch the ball in crunch time, they’ve already lost
Just look at the devastation that lady in the crowd with the white tank top is feeling.
God, I love sports.
Goddamn right
JB the future of the NBA. You can’t just be 7’4”, but every kid can be Jalen Brunson if they work hard.
Nas’- I can, shoulda been blasting in MSG…just sayin
Knicks fans act like there was no steph curry lol
“When’s the last time a small guard…” like literally a few years ago. lol
Probably easier to work and emulate jalens footwork than to be the greatest shooter that ever lived.
Sure knick fan, try emulating his once in a generation footwork
Knicks fans still want to be underdogs despite nearly sweeping one of the best teams in the league.
What if you’re a short slow white kid with a clubfoot
You too can be Jalen Brunson.
Balen Jrunson
You’re fucked.
Do you have a foot fetish?
No they really can’t. lol.
Jalen Brunson’s dad is a Knicks player and Coach in the league. He grew up hanging out with NBA players daily. Let’s not kid ourselves that he’s “every” kid. He deserves everything, and he’s humble and awesome but literally in the perfect position to become an NBA player.
As a UNC fan, I will always root for Caleb
Hey are you me?
Mets/Knicks/UNC fan, nice to nice know there’s two of us!
Hell yes, brother! Our Mets though 😭
Knicks won a chip, i don’t even wanna talk about it 😭
Bro honestly, same. The Knicks championship is gonna carry me through so much potential pain. I can ride this wave for a very long time.
Rooting for jb, he just like me fr
lol that was my exact face watching brunson last week. sometimes u just gotta appreciate the show even if its not ur team
He’s just like me :o
Even as a Duke fan I truly hope the best for Wilson seems like a good kid
I’ve watched this exact clip dozens of times the last few weeks. It’s pure joy and love for the game.
we got the best finals matchup in many years and it sparks many joy and inspiration. imagine if OKC got in the finals instead and Dort tries to flop on Brunson instead in that same scenario. we dont have this joy or this inspiration.
He a true basketball fan.
Wilson going to be A1.
Best personality of the top guys.
Was at the game with my not very young at all mother and same vibes from her.
A true fan of the game!
Wholesome moment. I hope he does well
“Move out of the way” LOL
He nasty
He just like me fr 🥲
I’m a UNC homer but that young man will be a boon to the city of Chicago
True fan of the game, love this dude already
I like this kid lol
He seems like such a kind hearted kid, he’s earned a fan for sure
Tough ass shot
Best in this draft imo
He’s hyped and I’m here for it
Imagine having to watch the game a row or two behind him, man i’d be so pissed.
You KNOW that kid respects that 1 on 1 game. He knows.
Scottie Barnes had some competition
Jalen Brunson shot 12-31 in this game with 2 assists and 4 turnovers. He only shot 4 free throws. He was objectively awful in this game and the Knicks won in spite of him.
This is wrong
Might want to check his game stats again. While you’re at it, check his game 2 stats which were equally horrific.
Don’t really care about the stats when he helped the Knicks to victory
And yet, he closed that game out with classic Brunson daggers
