Nah the East is lowkey stacked this year. Assuming no injuries (because that ruins the fun), NY, Boston, Indy, and Detroit will all be strong contenders. Miami, Cleveland, and Orlando all have playoff expectations too, while you can’t count out playoff/playin teams like Toronto, Charlotte, Philly, and maybe Atlanta. I think we can be better than maybe 2-3 of those teams but no way we finish ahead of 5 of them. The playins should be the expectation, with a playoff win being a pleasant surprise.
I think Atlantas gonna do well this year, they had a good foundation and it sounds like they’re making some moves in the offseason
If AD stays healthy and this pick was right they could easily contend for home court in round 1 of playoffs.

Sarr had big improvement this year till Dawkins & Winger shut him down. Tre Johnson proved his shooting from beyond the arc. Kyshawn took a good step forward being the point forward, which he won’t have to be in the future, unless off the bench. I like Champagnie, Will Riley balled out 2nd half of the season but eye test looks rigid as hell, I’d also like us to keep Julian Reese. Rebound guy off the bench.
Curious to what happens with Bilal to be honest. Good defensively but hasn’t put it all together consistently offensively. And same with Bub, curious to see what happens with him, down the line.
Like the Spurs I think we take a decent step forward with all our young players, but we also don’t have a generational talent like Wemby, so obviously not expecting a 30-40+ win increase.
If AD stays and comes back in shape/healthy aka playing 60+ games. The wizzards might actually give the east some troubles next season. Gonna be fun to watch for sure.

I have zero idea why everyone has started saying AD is getting traded since trae signed the contract. isn’t AD the perfect person to have with trae? he can run the pick and roll with trae in rim running and pick and pop and AD covers for trae’s bad defense as a switchable rim protector? like maybe they trade him at the deadline if he increases his value as next year is a player option but like in no way is it a definite in anyway on if they trade him in my opinion. keeping AD for hopefully 2 years might be the right move as a vet with trae. trading him to a team that might overpay might also be the move. the problem with ad is he hasn’t been healthy and keeping him is a risk, and re signing him would be a huge risk. but trading him and having trae as the vet with out a rim protector is a risk. honestly wizards are just in a procarious position but nothing is definitive. honestly imo wizards have put themselves in a position where I would understand any move have rational reasons, but every move can possibly be looked back as horrible with hindsight.
