Arguably LeBron’s best pass ever - an absolute bullet to Big Z for the easy basket (2006)
I still don’t know how he got so much zip on that pass
Yeah the strength is unreal, it’s such an awkward motion.
Basically a wrist pass, idk where the power came come
Masturbation sets and reps
He’s just like me fr
You’re the LeBron James of Quagmires
Back muscles
Lebron coulda been Michael Vick on steroids tbh.
Lots of rumors he was on PEDs. Who knows though nothing concrete has come out.
Every athlete is on some form of PED, it’s just how much and how smart they are about it.
too much money involved not to be.
I will always believe Bron is the GOAT “passmaker”. Like the physical/athletic aspect of it. There are guys who are better at him at court vision (the pure PGs like Stockton, Kidd, CP3, Magic, etc), but in terms of making a pass as ridiculous as physically possible, LeBron is the GOAT.
I dunno I honestly think Lebron is up there with court vision, the dude knew all the sets and had a ridiculous memory. If you listen to Iman shumperts interview he’ll tell you how lebron would be coaching him mid game to improve his positioning and making sure he gets the ball.
I dont know what I was expecting, not that. Still trying to work out how he did it!
Gotta be because he’s ambidextrous right? Like fuck it is a bullet.
Arguably his best pass, and also arguably not even in his top 10. He has so many ridiculous ones that you could put up there depending on what you prefer.
The nutmeg to Wade who has to stop and give him the “if this weren’t a game I’d laugh because what how” look before the layup is my personal fave.
Might be a long shot but anyone got a link for this play?
https://youtu.be/1dOkf6w4-HY?is=i_fNeUGvEVVIWsD2
goat thank you
for future reference too if you look up “lebron nutmeg to wade” usually google or AI is super good at grabbing a clip like that
See this is what ai is good for
I’m biased because I saw this one in the arena so it will always be my favorite: https://m.youtube.com/shorts/6T-Ic2jtoJY?ra=m
Nearly fell out of my nosebleed seat and turned to my friends like “did you just see that?” And they all went “what?” Nobody else believed that he had nutmegged Wiggins from 20 feet away, and of course they didn’t show the replay in MN so I had to find it online later that night to prove it.
Lmao wtf!
Watching 1st stint cleveland lebron play is so funny because of how apparent the skill difference is between him and everyone else. That’s a huge reason why he’s been able to dominate for so long man was way ahead of his time.
Makes it funnier and sadder knowing that some of his teammates didn’t like him cause of how much attention he was getting as a rookie
Nah bro don’t u know, lebron has no bag bro, hes only just running and dunking bro.
People forgot about this?
Fake no look pass
its cool the way he did it but also the pass is WIDE open compared to this post being a needle thread thrown from a weird angle around a dude lol
also the defence in your clip is fucking atrocious lol
The D broke down because of the no look lol
Right? This is what people miss about this pass. The dude just turned his head and literally everyone fell for it.
it is insane to see, lebron looking the other way and 3 player run into that direction
It’s how lebron manipulated the D with the no look lol.
they were swarming Kyle Korver who was an all-time sniper
It’s a great pass but to me that’s just high bball IQ flashy pass against a pretty bad defensive breakdown. It was pretty wide open
Who is that pass to? I was trying to read the name on the jersey and couldn’t figure it out.
It’s on the caption lol. It was Zizic.
My favorite pass of his.
In this guy’s defense, LeBron has a catalog of absolutely filthy passes that rivals this one. And the one you just posted. And all the other examples that might get mentioned on this thread lol.
I think LeBron is a better passer than he is a scorer, which is a strange thing to say because he is literally the greatest scorer in NBA history
It’s not strange. It’s pretty much universally known that passing is his best skill.
He’s a great passer but he’s even a better scorer. I wouldn’t say it’s “universally known”
Scoring isn’t a skill though.
What
Scoring is the outcome. It’s not a skill in itself.
https://www.usab.com/skills-drills-players-foundational
Skills are Footwork, dribbling, passing…
It’s a skill. Go back to your hole.
Ah. So no rebuttal. Thanks.
I did, I said it’s a skill, because I don’t need more than the actual fact. You think it’s not a skill because other skills make it up. I’d rather not have a back and forth with a person with a mental capacity of a rock.
You can’t find anything to back you up on that.
I disagree but that’s because of how good he is as a scorer lol. He’s the fifth or sixth best playmaker ever imo, ( behind Magic, Nash, Paul, Stockton, and arguably Jokic but I’m back and forth). On the other hand, I genuinely think he’s either the second or third best scorer of all time. He’s probably the second best scorer (not from a longevity perspective, a peak perspective) in the playoffs, and a top 5 scorer even from a peak perspective in the regular season if you break it down. LeBron’s really just an absolutely insane player all around lol.
Isn’t it insane that Lebron is a better PG than some of the best PGs in the game. Like court vision is probably the best amongst active players.
Yes! I guess scoring is a more universal skill and passing is considered an elite skill. Like amongst the top 75 HOF NBA players they ALL can score. Some of them can pass and assist. But a very very small elite minority can pass like lebron can. Magic, CP3, Stockton, Nash, Kidd.. maybe Luka. Maybe Steph. I don’t think even kyrie is at this level of court generalship.
I think this is his best pass. Im always more impressed with great passes that dont come from being doubled. Magic, Bird, Joker and Kidd has a lot these types.
Bird’s passes were impressive because they were split second from inside the paint. Loads of no-look passes between multiple defenders with little spacing. It was such a difference maker for the Celtics and one reason his scoring numbers weren’t as high as they could be. He always went for the best play not for stats.
Arguably yes. The no look pass to Zizic is also up there.
LeBron’s passing even today is still insane. He would’ve been able to average 30-35 per game if he didn’t put the emphasis he did on being a great distributor
Every time I tuned into a Lakers game last year I saw him pull off at least 3 instances of Globetrotteresque fuckery.
And these are normal passes to him. Like I’m not even glazing I swear, but if you sit down and watch a full game of his you just see that no one else is really on his level of passing
But he would be a worse player if he opted to only score. His playmaking is basketball poetry, even at age 41. Controlling how the game is played and its tempo
I agree. I think I was just making that point because people like to shit on him for not scoring more which is insane but people say it. He could’ve averaged as much as he wanted to in his prime but that wasn’t his game
Dang forgot about that classic espn outro music
Nah, it’s that time be passed it to himself while nutmegging Thompson https://youtu.be/lHzclTp0-ZY?si=YUkdWGSrXzgnFebQ
End thread. This is unequivocally his greatest pass.
not really sure passing to yourself counts lol
Amazing. His feet hit the ground before he shot it though.
That’s a dribble though.
Probably a top 3 dribble of all time lol
How he made the ball spin that much and at such speed with one fucking hand is a testament to his superhuman strength.
man that’s a rocket… the angle he threw it from makes it even crazier
QB LeBron James.
He’s also had some Dhop style catches bro. Lebron is the greatest physical specimen in sports history and it’s not close when you think about it
LeBron has some crazy plays where idk if he meant to do it or if he just got lucky lol. This one and that behind the back dribble through somebody’s legs
67
He was throwing passes like this in high school.
His comp in Northeast Ohio during that time was Magic. Always Magic.
Oh God, completely forgot about big Z. Dude made Larry Birds vertical seem super human.
the ball really zipped to big z fast
The thing that is crazy is I am sure I could find another 100 contenders for lebrons best pass ever.
Ooooooo that was dirty
Yeah, that was disgusting.
Big Z had the softest silken Lithuanian hands. His touch as pure as Vilnus snow.
Not as flashy but there was a pass he made to Kevin Love for a reverse alley oop that is burned in my brain.
That is also an incredible catch and finish. Making it look so easy.
Neat
I wish I could remember the game but he had a bounce pass that broke my brain once lol
Love it when players go for these kinda missile passes every once in a while, the one of Manu Ginobili throwing one just like this is always in my head
https://youtu.be/m1Ns5xN3ZLY
Big Z has been retired for 15 years now. LeBron crosses over a few eras at this point.
I got to see Bron at a game for the first time ever this season in Denver, kept it close but lost late.
I genuinely was expecting to be blown away by Jokic (also my first Nuggets game), but Bron was easily STILL the guy who showed out the most to me. Unbelievable
People were shitting on him for just being an athletic freak with no skill coming out of high school, oh all he does is just runs and dunks, he can’t shoot can’t dribble can’t pass. I watched nearly every highlight of his highschool days I never understood that criticism, lebron was always passing, always getting his team involved, always looking for the team mate for the easy bucket. He seemed to enjoy assists just as much as making the basket even back then.
I haven’t seen this in so long! Damn
Literally not lol he’s done way better shit then this
When i see passes like this im always more impressed by the players that catch them, like if they shot me a behind the back no looker, nope u me fooled me too.
He made that act of wizardry look completely cavalier
Lebron probably has two to three of the greatest passes ever on the top 10 list.
Meh
That pass is just a tuesday for Jokic !!!
I love LeBron but I swear he’s lost some control of the ball as he’s aged, he does not have that finesse with the ball anymore.
Wait, you’re telling me he lost a step over the last 2 decades 🤯
What does that have to do with admiring a vintage play?

Braindead
Goodness 🤦🏽♂️
It’s the Wizards man…
Great pass! I recognize that. But that defense was awful. There’s no denying that.
