Dallas, though, has been very open, sources say, to moving down the board. We’ve been told the Mavericks and Brayden Burries have mutual interest at No. 9. But if Burries is not there — and we’ve already reported he’s under legitimate consideration by the Clippers at No. 5 — that could ultimately lead to even more reason for Dallas to slide back.
Who could be a potential Mavericks trade partner?
On top of New Orleans and its well-known desire to acquire a top-10 pick, sources say that Memphis, currently holding No. 16 following the Grizzlies’ top-tier pick at No. 3, is indeed exploring avenues to move up and generate a second crack at lottery talent.
