Trae has missed the playoffs for 3 straight seasons. AD without Lebron/Lakers has 2 playoff season in 8.5 years. Even with the Lakers he still missed the playoffs in 2022.
The down year Rockets, declining Grizzlies and Mavs, Aminu/Harkless/Crabbe Blazers, and upstart Hayward Jazz all made the playoffs in 2016⁄2017. AD did not.

Especially with player movement… you can grow up until 19 years old being a die hard Celtics fan, get drafted by the wizards and be there 6 years then move to LA and be there a few years and then jump around a couple other teams
Not many players get to play for the team they are/were actually a fan of. Obviously they grow to be a fan because they are apart of the franchise but then they move and thier allegiance changes.
It would be interesting to give every player truth serum and ask what their favorite team is because it’s not always going to be the one who they play for, in fact I bet most would say another team
