I doubt this means that anything changes for his ESPN gig. This is mostly just a PR thing for Jackson State. They can’t afford to pay him much, if anything at all, especially nothing close to what ESPN pays. He’ll just be “around the program” in some way or another.

There are current NBA players that are college program GMs right now. They just help fund the program, that’s really it. Shaq is the GM for Bibby’s Sacramento State program and I’m pretty sure the only time he visited them was for his son’s senior day.
