Lost in the Knicks winning the NBA Championship last week: Jalen Brunson (2,240) has passed Kyrie Irving (2,211) in total career playoff points. He is just 30 away from passing Giannis Antetokounmpo (2,270)
After dropping 45 in the Game 5 closeout to clinch the title in San Antonio, Jalen Brunson has climbed the all-time playoff scoring list, passing Kyrie Irving and other players along the way.
Brunson now sits at 2,240, tied with Hall of Famer Bob Pettit, and trails right behind Donovan Mitchell (2,251), Isiah Thomas (2,261) and Giannis Antetokounmpo (2,270) just ahead of him on the list.
In this playoff run alone he passed Allen Iverson, Moses Malone, David Robinson, Gary Payton, George Gervin, Jason Kidd and Steve Nash.
Brunson also now ranks 3rd on the Knicks’ all-time playoff scoring list with 1,796 points.
If the Knicks remain contenders and keep this core together, Brunson should be able to keep climbing.
