Jalen Brunson and Josh Hart toss out first pitches at Yankee Stadium after securing the New York Knicks’ first NBA championship in 53 years
I don’t think that’s a legal pitch
I swear I saw the Savannah Bananas do it before though haha.
Bananaball is known for being standard baseball
Easy balk call, someone get Scott Foster on the phone.
Until Donaghy tells Scott that the mob placed a fortune on a strike. The extender misses the call
Probably the most competitive first pitches in history. You know if one of them bounced that, the other was never going to let them hear the end of it.
I know he wasn’t the best president but nothing will ever top Bush zinging in a perfect strike after 9⁄11.
From the rubber too. None of this in front of the mound weak shit.
Idk but Myles Garrett ripped the shit out of one with the Dodgers. That has to be up there as an all time one
Yeah he added a little mustard on his lmao
“Now watch this pitch”
“Not the best” aka easily bottom 10
Like a lot of “legends”, reality doesn’t quite match – and we now have video of everything, forever.

It was a strike, but a Little Leaguer would have tattoo’d that grapefruit for extra bases.
The vast majority are several feet off despite not even being on the mound. It was a genuinely great first pitch.
Fine, but it had significant arc so it was neither “zinged” nor “perfect” – which had been previously claimed. I watched about an eleven year-old bring a lot more heat than that in a game at the park just last week.
People were not in a rational state of mind at that time, and for very good reasons. It was quite common to hear normal, seemingly-sound-minded people say out loud in public that we should flatten the entire Middle East immediately – without even bothering to investigate whether or not anyone from that region was even responsible.
My point is, had Bush fired that ball six feet over the catcher’s head and off the backstop, people would have roared their approval, and still called it the best first pitch of all time. Bush – a thoroughly unremarkable President in every respect except his nepobaby status and demonstrated stupidity – had about a 95% approval rating before throwing that pitch. People were off their rockers, in other words.
Amused you cared enough to write so many words
Amused that you think three short paragraphs is taxing to read, but that might explain your low level of education.
We both know what you are lmao. Highly doubt you accomplished anything in life except make a reddit account. Feel free to respond with paragraphs, I won’t be reading it. Good luck in life, your gonna need it.
Feel free to respond with paragraphs, I won’t be reading it.
And your inability to read is why you find yourself at this unfortunate position in life – trying to latch on to a meaningless argument that you weren’t even party to, in a pathetic attempt to make yourself feel good.
Save your luck, you need even ounce.
Get a life
And, as we all know, having naught to do with yourself but complain that other people don’t have lives is a sure sign you have one yourself.
Right…
Did you just quote my 3 word comment, you fucking dweeb? Your reply is another example of you needing to get a life. Being loquacious doesn’t make you superior. It just makes you a miserable person to be around. This is why you have no friends.
Edit: Disabling comments because I know any reply is going to be some ninja mall shit. Fucking touch grass, bro.

Oh no, will your brain explode now? How would anyone tell?

Right – I bet your friends miss you while you are on reddit complaining about other people’s lives.
I did no such thing. Learn to use a computer, or perhaps go landscape your yard. Basically, do anything but continue to embarrass yourself here.
Power of friendship ass pitch
Nice to see Brunson also throws left handed
Interestingly, he writes with his right hand. He was born a righty, but his dad made him learn how to shoot with his left
He’s lucky it went better for him than for Tua
Head big enough to absorb head shots
Ben Simmons
You mean, national champion and one of the highest paid QBs in the league Tua? I think it worked out ok for him.
He also has one of the highest int% in the league since 2020 despite easily being one of the best/quickest decision makers, and is often criticized for having a weak arm, and just threw a career high in ints. He’s not one of the highest paid, he’s on a vet minimum, in a QB battle with Michael Penix.
Also being compared to someone who won 2 National championships, had his jersey retired at his college, chose a paycut, won the Finals, and FMVP, is being discussed as the best Knick ever. The Dolphins also hadn’t won a championship since 1974.
The dolphins are paying him 54 million this year bubba. He’s one of the highest paid players in the sport.
You made it sound as tho it was somehow bad for Tua despite ya know, generational wealth and a leading the nfl in passing during his career
If we ignore the Elephant in the room, sure he’s going to have a great life after the NFL. He has had four concussions in the NFL, three in a season, two in four days, the second of those 2 being especially bad. The Third he eas somehow allowed to play through. Its not somehow bad for Tua, it’ll be a miracle if he’s mentally sound and physucally healthy in his life in the future.
I’m the same as him. I write with my right hand and play sports left handed. My mom is also the opposite of that and just like LeBron, plays sports right handed but writes left handed
Super interesting. I can’t do anything with my left hand. Sometimes I feel like I might as well cut it off.
rafa nadal regen but for basketball then.
Hopefully it motivates them
That’s what the Jets claim 🤣
Harts uncle is elston Howard so of course.
Oh dang of last week’s nyt given me fits crossword puzzle fame. Never clocked that name in my life and then twice in a month. Rad.
gimmie Nova Yankees
this just makes me so happy. Look at those guys <3
53 years is crazy. brunson earned every bit of this after that playoff run, dude was playing like prime dirk out there
I love how they’re making sure Brunson doesn’t go anywhere alone.
Has this ever happened before where two people throw the first pitch at the same time? It’s awesome!
Why didn’t we get drunk bender mikal or high as a kite OB??
They better not go to the White House or they’ll be tainted forever
I dont think I’ve ever seen Jalen Brunson and Josh Hart seperate since they’ve been on the Knicks
Are the Mets unloved?
OG is a big Mets fan and I think Lindor (?) tossed out the invite
Nah, they’re just the undercard.
They can’t keep getting away with it!!! They can’t keep getting away!!
Lefty legend.
what hat is hart wearing
How did Hart get the nod over KAT or OG? Was it only because he’s Brunson’s best friend on there team? Not saying Hart didn’t deserve to, but just curious what led to him being selected along with Brunson.
Harts great uncle is elston Howard, Yankees legend and I think the first African American to ever be added to Yankees monument park
First black player on the Yankees period. Also a former MVP and Yogi’s successor.
IIRC Hart has an uncle or great-uncle who played for the Yankees.
OG a Mets fan. But yeah KAT is Yankees idk
Same thing happened after Knicks won the ECF. They talked to Josh instead of shamet
They talked to Josh instead of shamet
In what way is that weird
Shamet was a hero of the series. Hart had like one good game. Crowd was literally chanting shamet shamet shamet right before they decided to talk to Hart.
Not a big deal but it’s definitely a thing where hart gets extra air time because he’s Jalen’s boy
I thought it would’ve been louder for them
Dammit, Knicks. I really want to like you, your team just seems like a bunch of good dudes
But the team going to the White House (fuck Dolan) and supporting the Yankees? You’re making it very hard
Players ain’t going. Kat also hates Trump.
like the team, not the organization.
It’s hard for me to look past them supporting something that’s as awful, amoral, and just bad for the entire world as the Yankees
